Seattle U - APNI 2012

Nursing Students NP Students

Anyone already applying at Seattle U? Which track? I haven't finished my pre-req's, so I am probably not too competitive this year, but I am going to apply anyway. I am applying for the nurse-midwife track and my background is Microbiology (UW).

I know I said I wouldn't come back without a decision, but I couldn't wait :) I *had* to see if anyone else made it in to congratulate them! I also didn't receive anything in the mail today and was hoping I would. I did do the flaneur trick and I got logged on, but there are no emails in the account. So, I don't know what that means. Maybe I got in? Maybe SU gives every interviewee an account? Maybe I just hacked into someone else's email account? :-/ Who knows? Patience is a virtue, I guess.

Congrats Kalium!! I'm going to say you're in. For sure! Do you have a common last name?

Kalium, first off, I don't want to jinx this whole thing, but I think congratulations are in order! ;) So what happened? You weren't able to log in last night and now it worked? Did you do something different?

And no, they don't give every interviewee an account, only the ones accepted apparently!

I have been looking through faculty email addresses, and 10 of the faculty have the same last name as me and one has the same letter of the first name and same last name. This does not include the possible students with my last name. I'm keeping the hope.

Kalium - way to be so humble but sounds like you absolutely positively got accepted to SU! Congrats. Think of all the personal info you had to use to log into the e-mail account. Well done, well done

nurseprac.... that's hilarious about the last name. I can imagine your frustration! LOL

I don't want to count my chickens yet. Waitlisted is still possible, and I'd definitely prefer that over complete, flat out rejection. Yes, I do have a common last name, so like I said, I sure hope I didn't hack into someone's account, although I had to enter my student # and birthdate, so...

Yes, Calinca, it didn't work last night and today it did. Not sure why.

At least we will know that if I do get waitlisted, having the email account isn't a guarantee. I have a scientific brain and like to examine all possible variables :)

Yes, it is a little frustrating knowing that someone has the username that I've been trying to type in. Ugh. :)

Calinca, remember your post: "hopefully we'll look back on this time and laugh" once we're all accepted. It's not over until it's O-V-E-R!

NursePrac you are our secret service agent! I bet you tried so many combinations - keep up the hope, definitely!!! Judging by the faculty's email addresses, you can't figure out a pattern that you can try to replicate?

I know, right? This scientific brain of mine is killing me right now hahahaha good to know that they are slowly entering information to the system! So, if you have a common name, did you put a number in the end?

Sure thing!

Calinca, it varied a lot so I could literally be trying all night. And like I said, if the faculty has 10, I can't imagine the student body and alumni...

I did notice though that some don't even spell the entire last name, like it cuts off 2 or 3 letters and then puts the first initial. Some have numbers, some start with the first name...
