Seasonal flu shot clinics

Published

I am interested on becoming a subcontractor for a company that does On-site Flu Shots at different clinics. It contracts you for about 4 mths. Has anyone here done this type of subcontracting work? Can someone please give me some insite on rather this type of work is good or bad? Did it workout when you did it? I just really need to know how this thing works before I actually sign an Independent Contractor Agreement and put my License on the line. I really want to help with giving the flu shots this season, but I need advise from Allnurses on this determination, please! Thank you in advance for all responses:)

Sincerely,

I asked if it was a 1099 job (independent contractor) or W2 job (employee).

Thank you , I filled in W2 FORM.

hello guys! :)

i called (moderator edit of name) to follow up on my application, and they told me that my resume was on hold since i answered the question "are you willing to work alone?" with a "no". so just a tip for those who would want to apply for them, answer this question with a "yes" to make the processing of your application easier. but yeah, the hr lady told me i could change my answer to a "yes" to be reconsidered - so i did. after a week i followed up on them again and got the 10 minute phone interview. got the job!

this will be a great start for me. :heartbeat

Once again, do not place names and/or initials of these companies. Would hate to close this informative thread.

I recieved my training materials today. I completed all the training and decided to wait to print out the material. Some of I need to take to the clinic. The company clearly stated the training would be available 24/7 throughout the season. But the material is gone and I can't even print the information!

I re-upped with The Vaccine Clinic That Must Not Be Named in June. Got the e-mail about training last night, finished it this afternoon. Hopefully, the schedule will be available soon.

It took a couple of hours. It's not bad. Mostly how to fill out all the forms. A short module on how to give the vaccines. It wasn't bad. But if the training material does not reappear soon I will have to call them. There is no way I can memorize all those forms. lol

took my training today in about 2hrs, it was okay!! i had to answer yes to all the policies and hit the submit button and guess what all the training materials that you could print out was gone. logged out of the internet and logged back in and still "nothing". i am like you kerriew, i am not going to remember allll those forms, there's alot. i did call and was informed that there is some kind of glich and they are working on because it should be available all season long. i was also told that the training will be back available next week, geez :uhoh3:, i need to print it like now and study up :)!!

"fyi" please do not use any company names on this thread or it will be canceled or deleted out. we have a good informative thread going here, let's keep it
