hi there.. i take the qualifying exam in seamen's hospital last april after 1 week they released the names of all the lucky nurses who passed and im one of them. after that i call the nursing service office and ask for the next step after passing the exams they told me that they will call me as soon as there is opening for the job position. after a week i call again and they said that they will call me again for the psyche exam and for medical but until now i haven't receive any calls from them.. im a little worried now.. anyone here working in seamen's hospital who can help me in my problem here? thank you so much :)

That's a very good question joanne, the difference between Board Rating Certificate and Board Passing Certificate..

I asked one of the employees there in Seamen's Hospital about that matter..and then she picked-up one of the applicants Board passing certificate, It's the certificate that states that you pass the NLE as well as your GWA are indicated also..

While the Board Passing Certificate, you can see the break down of your grades as well as the total average from Test I up to Test V as what VALIUM_RN stated/mentioned.

Thanks Felicity! Well, I guess I may not be able to pass my application yet, not until the PRC releases the certificates of board passers of November 2009. That sucks but I guess I have to put in mind that there is a reason why they release it late, I guess to give chance to previous board passers (application purposes). hi! |I worked in seamens for 3 years and now i am currently working in middlea east. That time (2005) It is the only hospital who is paying their applicant with a minimum wage from their first day of work but they changed it (2008 up to now i think to 2000 pesos as food allowance fr 2months) still good compared to some hospitals. I have found that working in this hospital are comparable to some hospitals when it comes to benefits. You will be having a free meal, free hospitalisation for you and your dependents(your parents, and siblings below 18)you are entitled to acquire hospital services every week if you/relatives are ill. You will work for 40 hrs /week with 15 days sick leave, 15 days vacation leave. Staff are entitled for 50%payment of IV theraphy, bls, ACLS and masteral as the other half will be shouldered by the hospital.Monthly bonus for twice a year wed 1 sack of rice anyway I hope i can give you recommendations just pm me na lang. i went there i think april 12? and then they scheduled me to take the exam on april 21 and up to now, im still waiting for their call and i keep on calling them but they always tell me that there are no vacancies yet.. but my mom asked one of the staff nurse in seamen's hospital and ask if how long do i nedd to wait in order for me to be called for the psyce exam and the nurse said that it would take a long time for you to wait for their call but there is assurance that they will call you if there are any vacancies for nurse position.

@jorifice: im planning to apply in seamens hospital...how's the qualifyinf exam there? it is very difficult? i just wanna know...thank you.

the qualifying exam is quite difficult for me.. board exam is much more easier because there are choices hehe the type of exam is identificatio, computation (ive meds and ivf), multiple choice, abbreviation, medical terms, only 90 items. try to apply there.. Good luck to you and Godbless:)

@ennaoj26; but you can try to submit all your requirements you have in hands, like for example my self, I don't have Board Passing Certificate when I submitted the requirements there...but still they accepted my documents..

hi there.. good benefits.. jorifice.. i took the exam last april21 and after a week i call them and they told me that i passed..its already june and still waiting for their call.. how many months do i need to wait? do i have assurance that they will call me asap if there are any vacancies? im really worried and losing my patience, coz im really interested in working in seamens hospital. really been praying very much. jorifice pls pengeng recommendation hehe please i need your reply.. ill be waiting po.. thank you so much :)Godbless you more :)

qualifying exam passing grade is 60.. if you pass you can have your psyche exam and then medical after but they will have to call you first before you cantake your psyche exam.. if you passed in all exams and then after medical they will scheduled you for the interview.. i dont have any idea what the interview was.. i.q test questions is also included on the initial exam.
