SDSU BSN Fall 2019

Hi all! I applied to transfer to SDSU's BSN program to start in 2019. I thought I could start a thread where we all could share our stats and experiences. Here are my stats:

Prereq GPA: 4.0

Overall GPA: 4.0

TEAS: 89.3%

This puts me at 68 points as I have no work experience. Good luck to everyone!!!

I am just so nervous! It’s my top choice. I got invited to the LB interview so that makes me feel better.

Very relatable, 47RN! SDSU is my top choice too! I'm also hoping that admission decisions are sent before Explore SDSU on March 23rd. Only time will tell...

In February/March, the first wave of admission offers is sent to the top 80-100 applicants (based on number of points). If the 40 seats for transfer students isn't filled after the first wave of admission notifications is sent, then admission offers are sent to alternates in small waves thereafter (until the 40 seats are filled).

I would think that applicants are notified all at once in small waves if they are offered admission from the waitlist. Additionally, waitlisted applicants from what I hear are usually not notified until May or until the deadline to accept the offer of admission (for the first wave) passes. Hope this helps!

Unfortunately, I only have 62 points. With the cutoff being 64 points for the past two cohorts, I’m hoping I will be able to become admitted from the waitlist. Hoping for the best!! ?

mine still says pending.. not sure on what to think based of that but I guess we shall see!

Mine still says pending as well! I believe we have to wait until May to see if we were accepted from the waitlist. Seems like such a long time from now, but lets remain hopeful :) If you don't mind, how many points do you have?

I'm admitted too!! Congrats you guys? Just wondering, if the portals say that we're admitted, does that mean we are accepted only to the university or the nursing program already?

Congrats to those who were admitted! For those admitted, I believe that we are admitted to both SDSU and the SON since nursing applicants apply to SDSU and the SON at the same time (through the general + supplemental applications on the web portal).

To those who do not have an "admitted" tab on their web portal, there's still hope! I still believe in you guys! Best of luck!
