SDSU BSN Fall 2018

Published

Hello everyone! Thought I would start a post/discussion for this year's Fall applicants... Please comment below if you are applying!! :) Let's support one another through this.

For those of you who are gonna be attending SDSU, are you going to be living on campus through SDSU Housing? or are you going to be renting off campus? Just trying to figure out if i'm going to pay to submit a housing app.

First of all congrats to everyone that got in! I'm actually living off campus because I found an awesome deal ($625 for a single!). Since May 10th is when you guys can start registering for orientation, I was wondering if we could all register for the same day and time!

Hello! I plan on applying to SDSU's nursing program this fall for Fall '19 admission. I was just wondering if any of you transfers knew the answer to my questions. This fall I will be taking Microbiology. Will the cumulative GPA (not the pre-req nursing one) be taken during that fall semester or will I report it in January. Also, when you apply to SDSU do you have to have 60 units, or can they be in progress. I think i will have about 58.5 transferrable units when I begin micro, but after that semester I will have 60. Thanks!

The cumulative GPA will be reported in January so your fall grades do count. I believe that the 60 units can be in progress. So as long as you complete at least 60 units by the end of fall of when you're applying you should be good to go! Best of luck to you!

You need to have all the nursing pre-req done by the end of the fall. You can finish general education during the spring of 2019. But you will have to report the classes you are taking during spring and keep the GPA as good as you will mention on your supplemental application. Finish the pre-reqs this year and finish the GEs during 2019 spring, and you will be fine. That is what I am doing right now. I don't have 60 units yet but by the end of this spring I will have 64. I just need to keep my GPA as good as says in my supplemental application. Make sure by the end of 2019 you have 60 or more transferable units completed. Talk to a transfer consular for more information! Good luck. Study hard for the teas test and keep a high GPA!

Hi i have been admited into San Diego States Nursing program. I am wondering if there are any pages for this or if any transfers are looking for a roommate?

Thanks! Do you mind me asking what your stats were?

Also, I want to take my TEAS at the end of August, is that too early for SDSU?? Or is that alright if I am applying this fall

My stats: 85% on the teas and overall GPA: 4.0, Prereq GPA: 4.0. I think August is fine, just go to the Ati Teas website and check it out, or call SDSU testing center and ask. Make sure you study to get at least a 90% on the teas and have your GPAs as as good as mine. Use the Mometrix teas book to study and do as many the practice test as you can, even the online paid ones! The test is long but not that hard. I read very slow and english is my second language, which messed me up on the english part of the test. Study a lot and you will be fine!

Did you guys sign up for the orientation? If so what date?? Mine is on aug 7th.

Also, is anyone planning to be a full time student? The maps aren't really designed with 12 units each semester :(

Hi, does anyone receive the email regarding their status changed from the waiting list to admit?

Yes I received my email today. 2:40 pm that I have been offered admission from the waitlist. It now says admitted in my portal. It was supposed to be done first two weeks of May, but looks like it is taking a bit longer :)
