Scrub Warm-Up Jacket That is Actually Warm

Hi there all, I start my LPN program on Monday and we are only allowed to wear white warm up jacket in addition to the school uniform scrubs. This is a very cold building (had classes there before) and I am very cold natured myself. All the warm up scrub jackets I have seen are so flimsy that I am afraid I will spend the year too cold to concentrate:eek:. Any suggestions on a warm up jacket that is actually warm? Are there any that come actually lined? Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks so much!

Could you wear an extra under shirt or 2? I always wear long sleeve shirts under my scrubs

I agree with the suggestion to wear a warm long-sleeved shirt under your warmup jacket and scrub set. If you want to stay warm, a thermal undershirt is your best bet. Good luck to you!

Fruit of the Loom long sleeved tee shirts are comfy and do help. Also LL bean makes silk undershirts if you have a pricy budget (I don't, well I might could try one but I keep forgetting about them.) Uniform stores sometimes sell jackets out of fleece, I've seen them.

I have Raynaud's so really have to keep warm! In school you are so limited in what you can wear. One thing I do is wear a t-shirt under my scrubs, the extra layer also helps a bit. If you're really cold, wear silk long underwear under your scrubs! Hope these ideas help!
