Hey all!
I thought I would start a thread for those of us who submitted an application for the Scripps New Grad Program for March/June 2017. It took me forever to find the application, it wouldn't allow me to search it on the jobsatscripps page. I did finally get it submitted around 9:30am CA time so hopefully I made the 500 app cut off.
Good luck everyone!
Thank you for the information. I was wondering if you could be so kind to share some of the strategies that you used for applying. I am finding it difficult to have my online application stand out to potential employers because of my lack of experience in the medical field. If you don't mind me asking, do you have prior experience in working in the hospitals, were you an internal applicant, did you have a referral within the organization, or did you match your resume or online application to the description of required skills needed for the job (ie. did you format your answers to ensure that it would pass jobscan/ats requirements)? Any advice or information you could share would be very much appreciated. Thank you in advance! :)
I do have experience in the healthcare field however, I am not an internal candidate for Scripps. I have 3 years experience as a CNA and 5 years as a hospital operator. I did not have a referral within the organization. I did use key words that are found in the Scripps' mission statement as well as in the job description.
I recommend to definitely have a good resume and cover letter. I purchased a template from Etsy for $15 however, I personalized the content. You do not want your resume or cover letter to sound generic. I have just recently accepted a new grad position elsewhere and the interview process was intense. Be prepared for clinical scenarios as well as basic interview questions that include conflict, ethics in the workplace, short and long-term goals as well as why should they select you over someone else. Wear a SUIT! Highly recommend it. I also made a portfolio for every person that was in my panel (3 people where there, but they had told me it could be 5 max).
Hope this helps you guys. Good luck.

My status changed from under review to submission received. Seems like bad news.
