Hey all!
I thought I would start a thread for those of us who submitted an application for the Scripps New Grad Program for March/June 2017. It took me forever to find the application, it wouldn't allow me to search it on the jobsatscripps page. I did finally get it submitted around 9:30am CA time so hopefully I made the 500 app cut off.
Good luck everyone!
I've never heard of "jobscan". Yikes! I have not been formatting my resume to appease the resume system! Sort of sad that our resumes must be tailored to fit into an automated program to pass. I guess it was naive of me to think that there are people who are actually reading our resumes. :/
nursing888, I would definiltley read up on it. I haven't actually used it, but just being aware of it helps. If you don't get past the automated system, your resume will never see a person. You basically have to ensure that your resume matches the job description as much as possible. People will use mission statements as well for wording to put in their resumes. Good luck to all of us!!
For the last cohort I believe they found out if they were selected for an interview 7 days after the application was opened. Hopefully they don't keep us waiting too long.Does anyone have an idea when they'll start sending out emails for interviews? I know the holidays are coming up so that could play a factor on how long it takes them to sort through applications..
I don't think it asked in the application which start date we would prefer. I specified in my cover letter that I wanted June. I wouldn't worry too much about that! :)Do you guys remember if you had to specify March or June? I think I said March, but now I'm stressing that I should have said June. I have graduated and waiting for ATT. Just have some reasons that June might be better. I wonder if I get an interview if I can change my mind. :/
