Scripps New Grad Residency January 2024

Starting a thread for those submitting in September for the Scripps new grad program that starts in January 2024.

Has anyone heard from Scripps Green?

Also, has anyone ever heard of them allowing you to defer? Broke a bone and I'm not sure I would clear a physical in time for a 1/15 start.

How many people here are already employees of Scripps? I'm wondering if there is a benefit or advantage to being an employee (internal candidate) or if everyone is seen the same ?

TBH I'm not sure. I have heard certain hospitals like Green do prefer to hire Scripps PCA/CNAs. My 3 friends that were hired and started in October were not Scripps employees and didn't have prior healthcare. My friend that just got hired has a family member that works for Scripps. My guess is that internal candidates are weighted more just like we've seen with Sharp and UCSD.

no not yet. im getting anxious. I have been waiting the whole day yesterday and nothing. Im hoping today or tomorrow they send out the thing. I emailed the talent hiring manager, --------------------------, but shes out of the office.

Glad I'm not the only one! I emailed her too and didn't get a response. Fingers crossed for today or tomorrow.

that's what I got from them today. but no email yet

I guess we gotta wait for DEU La-Jolla. I haven't seen any changes on my application either.

Just wondering, has anyone's application status changed even though they had an interview? I had mine with DEU on 11/03 but it still says "under review". LOL the wait is killing me

Nope. So far friends from cohort 68 who work at scripps, as well as about 4-5 of us from 67 haven't heard either ?
