Scripps New Grad Nurse Residency 2013

Hello fellow new grads!

I'm starting this post to round up all the applicants for the 2013 cohort at Scripps in San Diego. I called HR today and they were rather tight-lipped about when the application would post, and was told "It will post in about 30-45 days" and to "keep checking the website". Enlightening, isn't it? Also to those who applied for the last round and will be re-applying, any tips you want to share for us newbies? thanks and I look forward to hearing from everyone that's just as stressed as I am.

hi applied for the new grad program a few days ago but did not get the personality test sent to me...is this because I recently applied for another position and they had my personality test on file? how did it take to receive the link for the personality test? thanks thanks thanks...

It says somewhere that the personality test is good for 1 year. So you should be good if you just recently took it!

I had to do mine with my app.

What the heck?! Hopefully they are working backwards!! Lol. I finished my app at 1030. I have 3 months RN experience at a subacute facility. :(

I started the application on Monday but wanted time to write the responses and I just went to try to apply and I can't find the job posting-- did they take it down early??

They only look at the first 500 submitted. They hit 500 on Monday.

I heard that they are supposed to hire more than last cohort which was around the mid 70s...but I'm not sure so don't quote me on that!

I don't think this is true. I called to ask why the posting was gone and the person I spoke with told me that it closed early Friday (which I know she was lying about since I tried to do it Thursday night) and said that OVER 2000 PEOPLE APPLIED. That's insane!

The last couple of postings they've had they said they looked at the first 500. I don't see why they would change that since so many people apply.

holy cow, it just goes to show how difficult it is to find a job in california right now :(
