Scripps New Grad January 2023

Nurses Residency

Updated:   Published

Hey! Just wanted to start a thread to share info and experiences:) I applied over the weekend and completed the on demand interview on the 13th. Does anyone know how long the job is posted for? I couldn't see a deadline like I have for other apps. Good luck to all!

Hello, Is anyone starting at Scripps Chula Vista? If so, have you reached out to your preceptor(s) already? I am just wondering if we all start out our first 20 weeks on days and thereafter 20 weeks on nights. Thanks for any input!

Not yet, still waiting for my final interview for Scripps CV. I'm hoping that everything goes well. I did get a copy of the schedule for the New Grad Program from one of my classmates. Start on days for 20 weeks and then 20 weeks nights. During those weeks you are assigned a preceptor and have to take exams to test your knowledge. Hope this helps!

Curious if you ever found anything or made your decision because I'm wondering which would be better too! I do know scripps pays more. 56 vs 52.50

Are these new grad rates??

Hi! Yes the MCH Program is 10 weeks and pay is $56

Hi! I applied to the MCH program starting in April 2023. I received an email saying I've been routed to the hiring leaders and two separate self-identify links for two of the hospitals. Has anyone (from past MCH cohorts) heard back for an interview after this spot? My fingers are crossed and super excited that my app was routed further!!

Hi!
Has anyone started their residency at Mercy CV DOU? I had to delay my start date to March. I was just wondering how y'all like it so far. Thanks :)!

I had an interview last week at Mercy and the hiring manager told me that I would hear back by Monday. No word yet...

Hi! I have an interview next week.  Its a panel interview via zoom.  The question I have is: Is the panel interview for a specific unit or are they people who are considering all units?  I cant tell if I am interviewing for a specific unit or its just a general interview?

Hi, try to reach out to the recruiter to find out which unit so you can tailor your interview answers to their questions. Do you remember if you applied for a specific unit/s?

So I just logged into the on demand video and it says expired for ? ! I forgot to do it immediately and couldn't figure out my password and took me a minute to do resetting. Does this mean my application won't go further? I'm freaking out

Hi everyone! I was offered a position in the La Jolla DEU for Jan 2024. I wanted to comment in this thread in hopes to reach someone who went through this program in 2023. I'd love to pick your brain and learn about your experience. Please feel free to email me, @ [email protected]. Thank you in advance!
