Scripps New Grad January 2023

Updated:   Published

Hey! Just wanted to start a thread to share info and experiences:) I applied over the weekend and completed the on demand interview on the 13th. Does anyone know how long the job is posted for? I couldn't see a deadline like I have for other apps. Good luck to all!

Is anyone taking a position at Mercy SD surgical acute?

I am!

Has anyone heard back from Green?

I heard back and was accepted on one of their med/surg units! I did do my residency on the unit, so I know the unit and nurses pretty well though and had my preceptor write my LOR.

Thank you! Yes, we went over it with a phone call on Friday. It was all quite quick with the decisions and phone call. I start in January because I already have my license. Is there something specific you were wondering? Like others have said, sometimes their emails do go to the spam folder.

I was curious if anyone has done the call with the recruitment coordinator already? Also if anyone is coming from outside of San Diego?

what is the starting new grad pay rate for scripps?

I just had my phone call today. She said the pay is $56 (regular daytime hour) with a $6.80 night shift differential. After the program ends, you get an additional $2.25. Raises are given annually every fall and are performance-based.

Congrats to you! Which unit did they offer you? Hopefully, they call me back.

Hi!
Do they ask if you have a preference between day or night? Or do we all start days and then move to nights?

They said it's 20 weeks on days then 20 weeks on nights. After that, you continue on nights.
