Thanks InTime - just out of curiosity, are they only hiring 30? I thought the email said they were planning to hire between 20-50 (hoping 50!) - but didn't get any confirmation as to the exact number.

I am going with the smallest number (30 positions) mentioned to us. Anything more is icing on the cake for me. You are somehwat correct...anywhere from 30-50. The hiring manager told us definitely 30 and maybe as many as 50.

I was told by HR that there are 55 positions available (when they called to offer me position).

Four others I know have been offered a position too.

nicrn7-Not too sure how those phone calls are being carried out either. I thought that was interesting too.

FYI-I removed the specifics on the positions because I don't think it is right nor my place to have posted them up. What if one of my friends wants to come on here and let everyone know the specifics themselves, ya know? That was silly of me and I don't want to damper hopes or steal anyone's thunder.

But for now, I will definitely give you guys my personal specifics if I should get a call/email. Hopefully not the latter.

I will say that I am not surprised that it is taking this long. Every single person I met on Wednesday was extraordinary...

Thanks for the Good News (for me, at least), InTime! I interviewed for SurgAcute 4E at Scripps Memorial La Jolla. ....whew, I think.

"Oh, the people at Mercy hospitals and those go-getter units are just being particularly serious about hiring people right quick (as we say in North Carolina). Memorial La Jolla and other unites are takin' it slooooow and languid. Or they have a sense of delicious timing and can't resist drawing out the suspense as long as possible."

I wonder when [in the business day] everyone got called. I, also, have obsessively thought about how well each minute of the day bodes for my being called.

My poor Mom just called - my first call in a week - and I near lost my religion. 7 minutes left in Thursday.... twiddle twiddle twiddle.

hi everyone! i can’t tell you how relieved i am to see others freaking out like myself!!! i interviewed wed with medical acute- encinitas. i felt it went really well but i have not gotten a call or email yet i do wish the best to everyone.

does anyone know if medical acute positions have been offered at encinitas to friends or yourselves? let me know the suspense is killing me............

SOOPERDOOPER, Congrats:w00t: That is such an accomplishment to become a SCRIPPS Nurse!!!!!!!! That is awesome. If you dont mind me asking what is your backround? (Where did you go to nursing school? Do you have a medical backround?)

I am just curious what a desired new grad candidate looks like :)

I interviewed with the person who created the new grad program too. I really don't know what position I interviewed for because I was suppose to interview with chula vista medical acute and about 20 minutes after my scheduled time, they changed it. This was on Tuesday.
