2 Sciences classes at Once.....

U.S.A. Texas

Hi All,

I am currently taking my pre req. for the TCC Nursing program. From everyone experience, would you suggest taking A & P I and Microbiology during the same semester?

I know Microbiology is learning about the cells, and A & P I is more about the body itself.

What do you suggest?

Also, do anyone suggest taking A & P II during the winter mester?

I am curious and I need some advice.

Thank you,

Soon2B RN!

I just took a&p II and micro this past semester (spring 2009) and I made a B in both classes, you can handle both.

This is what I'm doing for the Spring 10 semester and I'm kinda nervous about it, hopefully I will make as good a grade as you did.:yeah:

Specializes in Clinic Nursing.

I am doing it Fall 09, I should be able to provide some insight by Spring 10.... Good Luck in all your classes...

Specializes in mental health.

I would not recommend for a short summer semester at my school(double labs in each = 4 labs/week) but no problem in a regular semester. There is some overlap with both A&P I and II.

My opinion... Taking those two classes are going to be like a walk in the park once you actually get into the nursing program. You will eat, breathe, sleep, and dream nursing... so this might be a good time to challenge yourself to see if you can handle the stress/pressure of these two major classes together as a predictor of your resilience in the near future!
