Hí everyone, I'm a new grad from London Ontario (Canada) and want to take an Operating Room course in either Australia or New Zealand. The only problem is that being an international student I'm not aware of the different reputations of the schools. Could anyone please suggest the names of different schools that are known for producing good OR nurses. Thanks a bunch!

Hi,
Have a look at the sticky thread on this board to give you an idea of what is required to come to australia.
In melbourne there are quite a few universities offering postgraduate studies in perioperative nursing.
This link is to the alfred hospital
http://www.alfred.org.au/
which offers a perioperative course in conjunction with la trobe university

For serious perioperative experience you can't beat the alfred, it is an adrenaline junkies paradise.
the following link is to the victorian government's nursing website,

Thanks for the links, I be sure to check it all out! Cheers.
