Hello,
I searched for this topic and didn't find a previous post. I know it obviously varies by state, but what is typical for a school nurse benefits (other than vacation days when the students are off)? Do most of you work during the summers? If not, are you still provided benefits? How does the payroll calendar work (9 months or 12)?
Thanks!

I'm at a private school, no union, no set teacher's pay scale. I get a cost of living raise annually, but other than that I'd have to haggle if I want more. I get 5 PTO days, 10 (I think...I've never used more than 2) sick days per year. 401k 50% match to up to 6% of my salary, 1 yr salary term life insurance, health/vision/dental insurance 12 months a year. My pay is split evenly, every other Friday whether it's a working month or not. We are paid August to August, so if I quit at the end of the school year in June I'd still be paid till next school year starts mid-August.
