I am looking for book suggestions for my school nurse book club for next year. Previous titles have included: "The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down" by Anne Fadiman, "Deadly Choices: How the Antivaccine Movement Threatens Us All" by Paul Offit, "Crazy: A Father's Search Through America's Mental Health Madness" by Pete Earley, and "The Boy Who was Raised as a Dog and Other Stories From a Child Psychiatrist's Notebook" by Bruce Perry and Maia Szalavitz.
Anyone have any suggestions for books that pertain to school nursing?

I haven't read any of these books, so they've all made it to my list and I've been looking to see if anyone else has responded. :)

I inherited "A Child Called It" from the previous nurse, as well as "A Long Way from Henry Street: A Collection of Stories Written by School Nurses" which says it is "compliments of MacGill discount school nurse supplies." I wouldn't really say either of them are great books, but they both deal with school nursing.

There is also an article in the May, 2014 issue of NASN School Nurse about school nurse book studies. It has a list of titles that have been used by a rural school nurses for professional development. Looks like lots of good options.
