hello everyone!!!
I need some guidance if anyone has experience in this area! I've been an RN for 7 years now. I am currently the DON/Facility Administrator for health facility.
I would like to continue my education, but I cannot decide which route to take....
my passion is patient advocacy- especially for people who cannot advocate for themselves (children, special needs adults, etc...)....my husband and I may eventually move to Haiti for missionary work, and my dream would be to open a daycare/child care center for the special needs children/medically fragile children in that area. (Medically fragile children are the area i am currently in)
I would like to get my master's...or even my DNP/PhD...but I can't find much information on the different routes/options....
Any ideas what would be most beneficial for me? I do not want to do nurse practitioner

From what I remember seeing when I started looking at grad school, there are a few tracks for graduate education and it really depends on the school you are interested in attending. The school I go to has three tracks for MSN: NP, Nurse Administrator, and Nurse Educator. I've seen some schools with Nurse Informatics and CNS as options as well. If you are interested in opening your own business, I would think and administrative option would be a good on to consider. I've also seen several schools that offer dual MSN/MHA or MSN/MBA degrees.
Thank you!

West Texas A&M University (WTAMU) offers an online MSN program with a patient advocacy specialization area. This is something you may wish to further explore.
