I'm really surprised that I can't find any, any other guys have any luck?

How do you know that someone else 'doesn't need it'?

And if you find a scholarship just for females, let me know.

actually, the womens center at many schools do offer women only scholarships. you should check out your schools options. Mine had "Women in math", "Women in computer science", "Women in [insert carreer field here]" scholarships.

Family contributions come to mind...probably too general a phrase though. How about "probably doesn't need it more than I do"...

As a 23 year old female that had to leave home at 17 with no parental support, I worked full time and went to night school and knocked out pre-reqs one at a time. My family contribution was nagative as i had to send money back to help care for my neice. I got scholarship money. I think i deserve it as much as you do. I am just making a point. I know you are not trying to instigate. In my school anyway, you have to submit your Fasfa report to proove financial need. So the people that you believe are not as deserving as you might have already prooven that they are in need.

About four years ago, i used this site and won $2300 scholarship and my brother who is also an RN received $10,000 scholarship.

Surprise! There is a plethora of scholarships SPECIFICALLY for women to get into "traditionally male" STEM fields science, technology engineering and math, but nothing for Males to get into the fields where men are underrepresented...talk about double standards and switching the tables...anyways if you are a male nursing student you just have to complete with all the other thousands of female nursing scholarship applicants out there.

The only males specific nursing scholarship I know of is from the American Assembly for Men in Nursing and its only like $500 to $1000, not like the fully paid scholarship women get for entering say engineering...nope I did not win any of their scholarships but you can try at link below :

About American Assembly for Men in Nursing - AAMN

American Assembly of Male Nurses (AAMN) has 3 annual scholarships. One, however, is for already practicing RN's looking to specialize. I think you also have to be a member. I've found that nursing specific scholarships are tough to come by unless you're pretty close to straight A plus community service work.

I never played into the whole "give me stuff because I am a bisexual kenyan sasquatch that now resides in Brazil". Earn it or don't earn it, the garnish "diversity crap" is just that - crap. That being said, if these are private scholarships they can do what they want with them. If you want to set some criteria for the money, it's your money - do what you want.

I also have an issue when people use the word "need". If Mark Zukerberg is in nursing school and gets a free ride because he is just better than the other people applying for the scholarships than good for him. His needing it is irrelevant to me, it is about who deserves it.
