Hospitals are a good idea - many offer scholarships where you'd have to work for them for a few years after you graduate. If you’re enrolled in a Virgina community college then look at their financial aid webpage and you should find a link with available scholarships. You should also look at professional organizations for nursing websites. Most of them offer scholarships.
Two websites that I'm looking at for scholarships that have been ranked pretty high by people are www.scholarshipexperts.com and www.fastweb.com Hope this helps and Good Luck.

Hi,
I am having a horrible time finding scholarships and/or grants for nursing school (Associates Degree in Nursing~Register Nursing). I have been told over and over again that because there is such a shortage of nurses, you can find scholarship and grants easily. Well I cant find anything that I qualify for...and I can prove a financial need as my EFC is 0 and my husband and I have two young children and my husband pays child support for two children from a previous marriage. He is the only one who works and we are not military. Where on earth can I look for help? I get a little for Pell but not a lot...I still need to cover at least 6-7 thousand dollars and I would like for (at least) some of it to be scholarships and grants since I hear there are lots. Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!:typing
