SCCC Fall 2014 - Suffolk

Published

anyone applying for the RN program at Suffolk Community College - Fall 2014??

Accepted into Ammerman day! See you all at orientation!

What are the chances of getting a seat in the program if you are in the wait list?

I would call the campus that you are waitlisted for and ask. Find out how many people on the wait list and how many seats in the program

We were given only two weeks to send in a deposit and accept a seat.. I think they wait for some people to decline there seat and then they start calling people off the waitlist. Some people may be accepted to others schools and decide not to go to Suffolk so I'm sure you have a good chance. I know they also go by GPA of the four pre-reqs starting from 4.0 going down and they accept 120 people with the highest GPA's this is what I heard. My cumulative pre-req GPA was a 3.6 if that helps and I was accepted.

Congrats for your acceptance! I really hope I get a seat this year... I'm two points behind your GPA. I have strong letter of recommendations, I wonder if it would be helpful if I turn them in? I'll call admissions this week to get more info. Thanks for your helpful response.

For everyone who was accepted, do you have emails or facebooks so we can chat & maybe form study groups?

Thank you ...Good luck I hope you get in too! TMD I have Facebook my name is Ashley Lima

I just got accepted to grant day yay:yes:

I just got wait listed :( so discouraged, I thought I had a shot with a 3.9 gp

Sorry to hear that Nikki .. Do you have a 3.9 overall gpa or in the 4 prerequisites?

3.9 in the prerequisites, 3.76 overall. Hopefully I get lucky ! I graduated last May with a BS from Stony in Health Science already, did apply to other programs for accelerated BS programs at Molloy, Adelphi etc but SCCC is really my first choice as a 22yr old paying her way through lol... Hoping for it !

Oh wow that's weird they waitlisted you!! Is it Ammerman or Grant? I think you still probably have a good chance of being called from the wait list .. Good luck !
