I bought all my books on textbooks.com.. I spent only $162 which inc shipping!!! I bought used, but in good condition.. The recommended and optional resources, I bought older ed.. Some books are for $2.00... Hope that helps

Wow - I have to look into getting my books - i was on VACATION and now I have to find all the stuff I need - I checked the website for the Tag - looks pretty good

What side did you get the books on?

Yup, the bookstore personnel can help you if you go with your schedule. Hopefully

the professors have sent them the recommended books.

I was at the evening orientation too. I was more worried about the costs of things! I have to figure out how I will pay for everything! The info itself was really not much more than we already knew. But the ati stuff threw me for a loop! And I wish that they spent more time on uniform requirements. The handbook says no scrubs and it's hard to find a nursing uniform that does not fit in the category of "scrubs".

Just go to Life Uniform, I did that and asked if she knew what I needed to get as a nursing student at Suffolk. She gave me a couple options to try on for tops and pants, I picked which fit me best. The pants were basically scrub looking type pants and the shirt has to button down, personally I'm not a big fan of what we have to wear. You also get a 10% discount there for being a Suffolk student. They can also order you a name badge, but the patch has to be purchased from the school bookstore. Hope that helps.

Hey everyone I received my acceptance monday from waitlist to evening Ammer. so i miss out on orientation can anyone fill me in . Did they mail out book list or uniform info ?

CONGRATS!

They gave a list for reading before class starts and info on what to get, books, uniforms, small math test to bring back the 1st day, etc

You should call the nursing dept they can proabbly give you copies

If you want I can fax it to you if you have access to a fax, let me know the # and I can fax them to you
