SCC/ARC Fall 2021 Sac City/American River College

Anyone else submit their apps for SCC or ARC for fall 2021?I submitted my SCC packet last week and ARC the other day. I was hoping my online app status would change to received but it still says submitted

It looks like they usually send out notification the last week of April... so we may be waiting until the end of next week. But they are updating the application statuses so fingers crossed for today!

SCC has sent out all acceptance and alternate emails as of 4/20. I don’t think they do denial emails based on what it says on their RN page under the selection process section.

It just doesn't make any sense to me that Los Rios has all of the possible statuses, but don't use them.  For example, I did not get an email from SCC, I would expect my status to update to "application qualified OR application missing documents" regardless.  If we don't know if our applications were incorrect, missing documents or if we were simply "not selected" how will we know what to do for the next application round?  I believe either SCC or ARC keep your transcripts and information on file and you check a box if you are a second time applicant.  My status is currently "application received" and last updated at 2/19, in my mind, that leads me to believe that they haven't glanced at my file or verified my information since 2/19, if they had been doing so since the deadline, it seems like they would have had no choice but to change my status to qualified or not qualified - missing documents.  As of now it appears they didn't even decide if my application was qualified or not, almost like they skipped putting my name in hat all together.

SSC does not update status, and they have it in their website that if you are not picked you will not be notified or be given an email saying why.

Sierra College does the same thing. no notification or reason. If you don't get picked you don't get notified.

That's just the way they do it there. 

You could try calling and ask if there was a reason you did not qualify or if you just didn't get picked. 

 

ARC does update the statuses though.

Some peoples status changed to qualified on Tuesday, but mine has not changed so far.

that is just really confusing and misleading though.  By offering the status options, it leads you to believe that they will use them.  I will call at a later time when it isn't so crazy.  It is just odd that they use the same portal and 99% of things are the same.  I am sure they will be getting a hundred calls and emails,  it seems more efficient for them to just change the status, we all won't bother them so much LOL

Mine did change for ARC on Tuesday to qualified. Nothing has happened with SCC. I’m confused though because SCC did send out rejections for the LVN so I wonder why they wouldn’t for RN? My status didn’t change from received for LVN even after not selected ??‍♀️ My fingers are still crossed for both!
