Hello!

Haven't seen a thread for Sac City's Fall 2020/Spring 2021 nursing application yet and thought I should create one. Good luck everyone! ?

My SCC app was updated yesterday, 4/7 around 2pm but also no actual update on the app status, still says “received”! No change since end of Feb for my ARC app. These little changes drive my anxiety up the walls LOL!!

SCC app status is the same but my last update was 3/23 at 12:43pm

8 weeks is 4/24! So inching closer for everyone!

Last year, SCC sent acceptances on April 22. ARC sent acceptances on April 29. Not too long of a wait now!

I expected things to be delayed by at least a couple weeks because they had closed down and were focusing on current program participants due to covid.

If it were going to be delayed, I imagine they’d have posted a notice of that. Maybe not, but we’ll know when we know I guess! Sierra College was still able to send out notifications on time (on time for them; they’re always sooner than Los Rios schools), and surely they were dealing with the same issues. Either way, hoping there’s an update or notification soon, good or bad!

There were people from current program who provided updates and advised that new apps were impacted until they were able to determine game plan. That took nearly two weeks, but who knows how far ahead or behind they were in the process. Since some schools posted notices while others did not all we can do is wait. Like everyone else, I do hope that the lottery works in my favor! Best of luck to all in the future, no matter what happens persevere!!

Yes, I‘m aware as I’ve been keeping up with this thread. I personally didn’t take the post as confirmation that they actually stopped reviewing applications, rather that they wouldn’t conduct a pick and notification to anyone applying until they knew what the current students would be doing, which based on the most recent update on here, is taken care of already for ARC at least. I’m hopeful results still come at the end of the month! I suppose it really doesn’t make a difference when we know; we’re in or we’re not! It’d just be nice to know and have it over with haha. I do feel for the current nursing students having this interrupt their education! This situation only highlights the importance of nurses and their skills and knowledge. Hoping things will go well on their end!

I got a random email tonight at 545 that said nursing applications would be processed 8-10weeks after February 28. I didn’t send an email to them so assuming everyone got this?

I haven’t received any emails or updated statuses on scc or arc

I didn't get one either. Was it from ARC or SCC?

Hello,

due to current campus closure and COVID -19, nursing application responses will be sent out 8-10 weeks from the application deadline ( February 28, 2020).

there wasn’t a signature from anyone specific.
