Hello to everyone..Can I ask anyone who is working with MOH saudi Arabia? Can I ask if they are offering a 1 year contract? Can you give me also an idea regarding their exam? Thank you in advance. Godbless!

@pangarapnanatupad

Hm..I was able to adapt for a while, for 2 years exactly. But I didn't last longer than that, I decided not to renew my contract, hehe. By the way, it's good to know those PHC types there. I was like, "Really??" (with eyes wide open) haha. Well, I guess I was also assigned in a PHC^_^

Our hospital is just around 50-60 bed capacity. A friend of mine, who was also assigned in a nearby hospital, said their hospital is only recognized as dispensary/PHC by MOH. Only ER and OPD is open in their hospital, but their facilities are complete, they also have wards and better than ours. But according to her, they are having approval issues from MOH that's why they still remain to be PHC. There are wards but they can't open it yet.

And added to that, there is this said memo from MOH that all hospitals having 50 beds or less will either be closed for good or will be turned into PHC, including ours. It's kind of a problem if you're talking about COE (cert of employment). To other employers or agency, dispensary is just a like clinic, where nurses were like considered by others to have less skills. Even MOH doesn't want clinic experience when they are hiring nurses. Correct me if I'm wrong, I heard before that they (MOH) don't count it as experience.

It's unfair for my friend and the others because she's working in ER, and it's like a public market or amusement park, pooled with pts every day. They have ER cases most of the time, road accidents, cardiac arrest, cva, more referral and ambulance transfer, and then it will appear in your COE like you just worked in a clinic? It's kind of sad..

About your case, I believe that's how really is in dispensaries, no food supply, but rather they provide food allowance. Are they giving you that?

I knew someone before who said her food allowances were not given to her during the first years of service. After few years, she suddenly received some big amount that was said to be her food allowances from the past years.

Hi everyone!!! Just want to ask if anyone here have an idea if an HOP and HOP can swap? I asked my friend in Jeddah to look for other sisters whom I can switch hospital but she only saw MOH sisters. Anyone here have an idea?

@lenjoy03,

I heard many MOH nurses was able to swap with other MOH nurses, but still it depends on the approval of the hospital..

About hop nurses swapping, haven't heard if it's allowed.

Have you communicated with your hospital if they will allow you to swap?

If yes, then your remaining problem would be to look for someone who's willing to swap with you then. Maybe you could have a list of hop hospitals in Jeddah then try to contact their nursing division/office.

I worked before under MOH, and one day our chief nurse asked whom among us wants to transfer to other hospital because someone was looking to swap with one of us. Maybe someone called to our nursing office right? So just try it. Good luck=)

Thank you for that lyfer. I asked some of the staff here today and they said it's ok as long as its same hop to hop but the truth is I haven't heard of hop to hop exchange before. I will confirm this tomorrow with the moder of HOP. Inshallah it is applicable also with hop. Sigh.

@Lyfer

I asked someone in our Nursing Office this morning, she said that there were already cases of HOP to HOP swapping.

TO ALL:

If you want or know someone working in Jeddah or Riyadh who wants to transfer to Madina (Holy City), please send me a PM. I would really appreaciate it if you could help me. Thank you

@lenjoy03,

That's good news, I'm happy for you=)

Now all you have to do is look for someone willing to swap with you.

You could try communicating in the nursing office of those other HOP hospitals in Jeddah, then maybe ask them if someone in their hospital is interested?

Good luck^_^

Thanks Lyfer. Sigh. I'm still praying that I can find someone who is willing to swap. God bless to all.

@lenjoy03

Like they always say in Arabic, "inshaallah" (in God's will) ^_^

Guys I need help! Actually it's been a long time since I've visited this site. Before applying I'm always updated with this site..

Anyways. We have the same situation I am under MOH, working in a 30-50 bed capacity hospital everything is free except internet ehehe. My job offer in ph is 2250 since I have only 6 mos in a tertiary hospital there. Then when I reached KSA they didn't increase it until now I'm just receiving 2700sr. I applied for a 20% increase already but increase will happen after I sign my next contract probably it will become 3200-3400 something. My problem is, new nurses came here and their salary is higher than mine although they have only 1 yr experience around 3700 sr. I feel so down every time new nurses arrive and their salary is bigger than mine although we have the same work here. I need some ideas whether I should sign my next contract in April or I will just exit and reapply again in SRO. By the way does someone know when is the next delegation coming?

Hi there, I think the next delegation is on may and October according to my friend in Philippines. Hmm, regarding your concern, how many years are you working under MOH? Because it's better if you already have 2 years before applying to SRO. I always heard from my senior co-nurses here about your concern, I've heard that it is really better to reapply again if you have good experience. By the way I am a new nurse here in the kingdom from august 2010 delegates under MOH. But unfortunately I've been assign to a mother phc with er and been assigned to er. I am also thinking about resigning because I wanna work in a big hospital. Regarding salary I am satisfied my basic is 3570 sr and I'm receiving 4105 sr monthly plus 300 food allowance..

My advice for you is stay there first, for another 2 years. Me I'm planning to stay because we are going to transfer in a bigger hospital and nowadays there tension in middle east maybe it's difficult for us to be deployed.
