here did u go directly to SRO Makati or at poea?thanks is it true even without experience u will be aceepted?i have my own certificate diploma already 2008 grad.thanks a lot

I dont think POEA accepts nurses without experience as of this writing.I went there last year and they would always ask the applicant to have at least 1 year experience... and now they're updating it to at least 1.5 to 2 years. You can go directly to SRO when the delegation is here and ask them if they will accommodate nurses with no experience. As to when the delegation will be in the Philippines, I do not know.

really? i've read from the previous threads above that they do hire nurses without experience... :uhoh3::uhoh3::uhoh3:

our own hospitals wouldn't hire us, they'd rather exploit fresh grad nurses (volunteer) for months, even years for some...so how cud we work?

Im with POEA/SRO-MOH right now so if my *info* is right, they are not accepting nurses without experience. But I have heard, Muslim applicants are entertained I think. Hehhe. Im not that sure though. You can try to inquire in POEA for their requirements. Maybe you were referring to previous threads way back in 2007 or 2008 wherein SRO-POEA accept nurses without experience.

Doing volunteer right now in my opinion is useless unless you want to practice your skills. Volunteer work is not counted as work experience.

I think before they do accept fresh graduate nurses or new passed rn's, now they require atleast 2 years experience and passed the Saudi Council. Im in saudi arabia working in poly clinic and passed the Saudi council just recently, the salary is way low than the saudi government hospitals.

Hi there, I would like to ask if anyone here applied in SRO last March 2010? Thanks and God bless us all. :)

Hello! Currently, KSA-MOH is not accepting male nurses. Why? It is because of Saudization Law. Which means, they are prioritizing their male nurses. But others have said that MODA/Military hospitals are still accepting male nurses though they require at least 2 years experience.

As of this time, MOH requires at least 1.5 years of experience. I went to POEA at Window M last year and at that time they only require at least 1 year of experience.

Hi bertchel7,

I am one of the March 2010 applicants. I am still awaiting for my flight schedule and plane ticket. How about you?

Count me in guys. I'm also waiting for SRO to text me for the departure slip. How long has it been for you guys since you last submitted your complete documents? It's been 3 weeks for me already. Do you have any idea how long it usually takes for them to text you? I'm getting worried and paranoid already. :crying2:

@shadowmaster455 - MOH does not hire male nurses anymore because of what they call 'Saudization'. Better try your luck in applying through agencies, though I'm not sure if they still accept nurses with no experience. And be careful of agencies who try to offer you falsified employment certificates. There are many agencies like that these days.
