Ado the grand opening requires fancy dress?  Would have thought hospitals would've been more informal

Yesterday was quiet at work despite someone being out.  Had time to finish another CEU I needed for one of my licenses

Stomach was better too, cut back on the chia seeds I use in my overnight oatmeal.   Turns out they have a lot of fiber

The return of the warmer weather  meant a return of  J's allergies, so we didn't go out last night.  We'll try again Sunday

Today going to take the bike out on the Prairie Path, for the first time this year I think, instead of the usual bird watching.  The rest of the day should  be ordinary....meeting dad for lunch and baking muffins

Svengoolie  has The  Bride of Frankenstein which is a classic

Will be unusually warm today, in the upper 70s

Joe, hope that you have a good day outside.  Sorry the weather is upsetting J's allergies.

Stars, if you didn't order those glasses they should replace them for you.  I have progressive lenses and took to them right away and love them.  Those bifocal lines would drive me crazy.  Sorry your husband is so irritable with Nannie.   Often people that are critical of others are unhappy with themselves.   I'm like that.

J22, hope the de-cluttering goes well and the pharmacy issues are taken care of.

I've taken care of many jaw wired patients from working trauma and they are universally miserable.  I know it would drive me insane.  Last week I had a guy doing the spitting up blood thing and had to force the clots through the wires.  He decided that even though I was there with a towel it okay to just hang his head over the side rail spit out on the floor and it splatter on me.  Turns out it was really a nose bleed.. (I think I talked about this already).  

Work was 6:1 and I was so busy with one thing after another.  A coworker that's orienting someone asked if she could help me towards the end of the shift and I said "well if you can, would you do the data base in 637?".  She was extremely confused and I said "you know the admission data base".  She said "oh the admission, why do you call it a data base?".   Another nurse looked at me confused. I had no idea we called it "admission" instead of "(admission) data base".    LOL

Clocked out at 8:30 doing charting.

Off today and will mow the grass if I'm motivated and go to yoga.

Joe, I hadn't thought chia has that much fiber, but yeah, when it makes a difference when you stop eating it --  good sleuthing!

Ado, hope you can find a dress to wear.  These days, no one but me wears pantyhose.  If I wear a dress, I don't feel "dressed" with bare legs.  Plus mine are improved with the pantyhose, IMO.  I know, I know: TMI!!

We decided to drive to the high desert yesterday, as it was a beautiful, windless day.  Got there around 1pm, jammed for a few hours.  Left at 6 to meet bassist for sushi, and got home around 9.  It was a very enjoyable day, though the wind started up around 5.  Today, however, winds are supposed to be 25-35mph, with gusts to 55mph!  We will probably NOT go back out to the campout today!  It's no fun in that wind!

So, soon will join in Zoom Sabbath School.

Just checked in to our hotel in Vancouver, going to see Elton John tonight. We picked up dh’s insulin this morning, so I feel better about that. 
I don’t wear panty hose any more. It’s bare legs in the Summer, and tights in the Winter. I don’t really care what my legs look like, they usually have a fading bruise or healing scrape. 
Tweety, your bathroom is nice! You deserve it! 
Joe, good to read that your stomach is better. 
Dianah, I agree, that wind would be miserable. 
50 degrees and intermittent showers here. Love it!

Heaven knows I'm not the VIP but I guess the guests are. Our pastor told me she got an invitation. The Rotary Club meets at our church and she wondered if that was her "connection". 

I was given the impression we should be dressed nicely. Something better than the scrubs or the "office casual" that is my norm. 

The wind really picked up here today. It is warm and supposed to get warmer through the week. We have burn bans in place. Today Hubs and I went to check out the Fall Festival in a very small neighboring town. Nice to get out. Didn't see anyone we know.
