Good morning!
Joe, glad that you were able to get outside and enjoy things.
Woke up early and took a walk outside. It was cloudy, muggy and warm. I walked to a bridge over Tampa Bay and it was windy. But felt good to be outdoors.
With some Amazon points, I got a free cookbook "The Fiber Fueled Cookbook", a book by a gastroenterologist that is a specialist on the gut microbiome, and might thumb through it for some ideas for dinner. Hot yoga later today.
Hello all!
Joe, good to hear you are enjoying your trip!
Tweety, yay! New cookbook!!
Well, fourth night in a row that sleep was often broken by coughing and blowing nose. Will see how today goes. Seems to be less coughing today, since I got up. I used one of dh's albuterol inhalers last night, think it helped. We are listening to Zoom Sabbath School. We have no others plans for today, though dh may go to the store for a few things. I have been just too sick to go, so we are low on a few supplies. Hoping I am trending upwards, towards feeling better!!
Have a good day!
Hello. I’m on my phone, so more typos that usual.
yay, the cat was found!
cranes? What kind? We used to see sand hill cranes in Idaho.
I pay attention to pre biotic and pro biotic foods, but ironically many seem to cause upset. So it’s mostly yogurt and multi grain bead for me.
I’ve had a annoying cough, but not COVID. I really think it’s allergies. I took some Delsym sp? Cough syrup last night and slept for The first night in days.
we are camping and grandson and I just got back from a bike ride in the Woods.
and now I think a nap is I order.
Good 6 PM to ya!
It was 92 degrees today and humid. Around middle of the afternoon it clouded up, and it rained, it poured, the old man snored.....for about 48.25 minutes ?. Then it quit raining and the nicest breeze kicked up, so we didn't have to suffer the steaminess usually following a rain on a humid day.
There's a doe and two fawns munching on a snack of something in the back of the back yard. Too early for acorns, and I don't think hubby puts corn out in that area. Whatever it is, they eat there frequently.// I had fish for supper, Nannie had chicken, and hubby had chili-cheese burger.
I did a pharmacy-run today, and stopped in the grocery store because I had a hankering for vanilla ice cream with fruit on it. Then I got blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, and not for the ice cream, but I got some watermelon and cantaloupe. Hubby ate some good # of the melon slices and his blood-sugar went up to 180 or 190; very rare for him to get up that far! He said it's why he doesn't eat a lot of melon even though he loves them.
Hubby has been talking about some of the photos a cousin has sent him, of a three month old kitten that is "SO CUTE!" It is, but I can't see Nannie tolerating a kitten climbing her drapes! But, we'll see about making a decision at some other time. I want to be able to ENJOY a cat or kitten instead of 'policing it' so it doesn't do stuff Nannie would not want it to do. So, like I said, not yet.
Welp, although there is a score of 0-0 in the bottom of the 2nd inning, I'm going to give my attention to the TV screen and hope the Braves pick it up and start scoring!
One of my friends posted a meme on facebook that said the temperature went from 90 to 55 like it saw a state trooper. And that's what it did. Cool and overcast today. I accomplished very little besides cooking, cleaning, and a bit of laundry. Which sounds like I did a lot but I really didn't.

Ado I'm glad the cat was found
Hi Tweety
Stars I've heard that accent a bit here in Madison, although it's not as prominent here
Dianah I have done some birding, and I'll be leaving tomorrow. J is at home, having a fence installed
Has been a good trip overall
The rain was light and sporadic, so I was able to do everything planned
Stopped at several parks and did birdwatching and a bit of hiking. Went to the botanic gardens, which I hadn't been to in a couple years, was nice. Went to a favorite restaurant and coffeehouse. The only part of the trip I would skip in the future was a visit to the university, that was kinda dull
Was out early this morning to see if I could see cranes, and did see 2 of them. Haven't really gotten a good view of cranes the last 2 or 3 times I've been here
Going to meet a friend at a coffeehouse before I check out
Rain is gone, it's in the upper 50s here
