Thunderation and a real frog-drowner going on! Nice! And the only bird not deterred from getting food, is a female hummingbird. Maybe their wings go so fast, the rain doesn't get a chance to pelt them?

The left knee is a l-I-t-t-l-e bit better; the left hand's knuckles are much better, so far.

"We" are down to two #6 long pads for inside Nannie's pull-ups; she uses two, one on top of the other, in the pull-ups. If just the top one is wet, I'll just change it....but more often she has generously peed enough to need everything changed. Guess we'll limp along with just the pull-ups. It is already 2:45 PM, and unless the rain ceases and desists, I'm stayin' home!

Hey! This is the second month in a row that my checkbook has balanced to the penny! Nannie's is off by $27.94, to the bank's favor, but no big deal. I am going to pay two bills, and then no more financial dealings today!

Meantime, back at the ranch....

I never did do any shredding. MEH! // I thought today was Thursday and that I had to gather up the trash in the house for pickup on Friday. I was relieved to find out it's actually Saturday. WHEW!

I opened the large container of Panera's Baked Potato soup, and added a cup of milk, and a whole bunch of cut-up Li'l Smokies, and set it on the stove on low. I have been thinking about doing that for four days and hubby has always said no, let's get [whatever takeout]. So when hubby was upstairs resting, I went ahead and prepared it. If he doesn't want to eat it, he can make himself a snamich.

Braves won the ballgame last night (2-1) and I didn't win ANY of the Mega-Millions. At least we get to watch the game tonight, it is on a channel we have on our cable.

Hope the gypsies are on the way to being well and truly banished.

We had rain the last 2 mornings. And then sunny and hot. Hubs asked when I got home yesterday if we could delay the bug treatment because he didn't think we could be ready for Monday. So I called the guy, even though it was after 6 pm, and messaged our vet about the pet boarding. New plan is for the 24th.

The boys went out to a movie today. I've done laundry, some dishes, and that's about it. And read my book.

Nannie, viewing the Network News, and several stories about the war in Ukraine/Russia, looked over at me and said, "I can't make out what we are supposed to do!"

Um, Nannie, you are 93, what can you imagine that you can do over in the Ukraine or at the front lines with Russia?

She couldn't think of anything.

You are too old to join the armed forces. Maybe you can pray for the soldiers?

"I don't know anyone who is a soldier."

Hello from sunny, warm, central Oregon. We are camping near Crater Lake, which we visited today. Tomorrow we will drive toward the coast and camp near some sand dunes. We had a little visitor who found the spilled dog kibble. Dd named him Kibble.

We had a nice time doing music and visiting at C's church, then drove home and ate here. Nap-time followed!! Some of the songs we did, we will use in our August program at the bluegrass festival. It was good to "try them out." Our friend C played along on guitar. He can accompany ANYthing, it's so nice to hear him play!

Not much else planned for this weekend. Dh has arranged for regular yard care for the back yard, that will start tomorrow.

I had to look up "Lil Smokies" and my 50% German wants to try them.

Had to tell a hothead RN he was getting no tech tonight. "I'll just do an incident report if I feel unsafe". Do what makes you feel better but it goes in the trash can.

I talked a tech into working overtime tomorrow as there was only one scheduled for 32 patients tomorrow. We can't keep enough help.

Braves won over Tampa Bay Rays 7 or 8 to 1.

Every campsite should have a "Kibble". When I was a kid we tempted the chipmunks with CHEERIOS! And it worked! I have an old bl + wh Brownie- camera photo of me sitting very still, with a chipmunk sitting on my fingers while eating cheerios from the palm of my hand! I could feel his fast heart- beat in my fingers!
