Stars that's a lot of laundry

NJ22 glad he finally got the paxlovid after all that rigamrole

Dianah I imagine the cats are glad to see you

Tweety you definitely deserved the good review

Ado hope you got to sleep

Yesterday was pretty good at work, got everything done and even had time to help others

After work, had my usual white Russian then got a haircut and spent some time at the world's largest video arcade

Today will be leaving fairly early to do some work with the environmental group in the northern suburbs.  Afterwards will have lunch with dad.  Svengoolie has The Car, a dull 70s movie with James Brolin that I'll skip

Will be cooler today, in the mid 80s.  We're getting rain, which we need, but thankfully it will fall later this afternooon

Good morning!

Joe hope you have a good day with the environmental group.  I do admire that you join in with others in your interests.

J22, glad your husband is feeling better.

Dianah, I'm sure the cats are glad to see you.

I had one dog that would sometimes bark at thunder and fireworks but wasn't fearful.  None of my five have ever been particularly bothered by fireworks.  Slowbro is deaf now anyway.  I'm more bothered by them than anyone.  I don't mind on the 4th as long as you get done early.  But starting the day before and going on the days after...not a fan.

I didn't know you had to have a good creatinine to get Paxlovid for Covid.  When I had it my doc opted not to give it to me because I didn't tell him until I was three days in and he didn't think it would help.  I'm glad though I have his cell phone and can talk to him directly.  Not sure he does Telehealth but maybe he does if you have covid.  All through covid he wanted to see me in person for my check ups, as I'm sure he did with his other patients.

I hope to mow the grass this weekend and perhaps wash the car.  I signed up for an overtime shift on Tuesday (and got put in charge).

I am satisfied with my review.  She gave me "outstanding" or "exceeds" on everything but one category because of my issues with narcotic discrepancies, but she did note that I've improved.  All of my discrepancies were not charting that I gave the med.  That's still a mystery of my behavior I can't get a grasp on.  Twice she mentioned my good sense of humor and good rapport with staff.  She mentioned twice that I'm independent and try to solve problems myself before dragging her into it.  I do know a couple of charge nurses bug her all the time, and I rarely do.

Have a great day!

Noooooon-time. Every day in my home town, the horn at the top of the town hall would blow twice. I think there was a movie from the 1960's with Frank Sinatra and Tony Somebody, and it was called The Horn Blows at Midnight. At least I THINK that was the title. Anyway.....

Hubby is up in the kitchen eating a sandwich. I haven't gotten Nannie up yet. I am drinking coffee and trying to wake up first. Oops, now he is doing his usual: "I'm going upstairs to lay down in bed; wake-me-up-when-the-game- starts." Yes, and Mr. 'Don't-do-the-dishes-in-the-sink, I'll-take-care-of-them." , once again has let them sit in the sink. I give him 2-3 days before I end up doing the dishes myself. ? Being even moderately drunk, he doesn't do very well at washing the dishes even if he does do them.

Braves won yesterday 16 - 4 against the Marlins. It was quite a FABULOUS game. Braves got multiple home runs; What a strong TEAM!!

Yeah, last night into the middle of the night/morning I was looking at a book of photos my sister sent to me ---- Humans of New York----it's fascinating. I still haven't finished it; Last night it kept me up so late! I got lost in it, so I was surprised when I looked at the clock and said to myself: "YIKES! UH-oh!"  That's when I knew I'd better turn out the light and go to sleep!

Joe~ A Lot of Laundry? I think 3 or 4 of us mentioned laundry yesterday. We're a clean bunch!

Ballgame is on in 3 hours. It's another HOT day out there; wonder if we'll get the thunderstorms they predicted? We didn't get any yesterday.

Tweety~  I should think you would get "outstanding" and "exceeds" in your review. I would've added "EXCELLENT".

Okay, time to get the Nannie-Person up out of bed. Then I have to feed the critters and put out fresh water.

This will be the first 4th of July in YEARS that I haven't had any cats or dogs to medicate prior to the fireworks. I miss having pets, but it would just add to my responsibilities, of which I currently have TOO MANY! Ratz!

Like I always say, I'll probably come back by here later to check in with the rest of you'n's. Hope all goes well today for all of us!

Hello all!

It was one of "those" nights -- just couldn't fall asleep, brain whirring and jumping from one thing to the next to a song to another song...  I think I slept three hours.  Woke up late.  Got on computer and shuffled funds around in the credit union.  AFTER un-installing then re-installing the mobile app.  For some reason I kept getting an error message.  I did the work on my computer, while doing the work with the mobile app on my phone.  Just multi-tasking, here!

I got Zoom Sabbath School on, so will go so I can pay attention to that.

Have a good day!

Hi. I am determined to get a lot accomplished today, to ready for our trip. I went for a nice long, walk/jog this morning, about 4 miles. I need new running shoes, because my knees and feet are complaining. I packed away some of the dog stuff--dishes, beds, toys. I will likely donate it to a local rescue. Angus didn't seem to mind the fireworks, except when the big ones shook the house. I think he reacted when we reacted. The weather is another sunny, mild day. I slept so-so. I have a little tickle-y cough, but covid test is still negative. Dh says he slept well, and liked how well the cough suppressant worked. I forbad him from unloading the dishwasher, but told him he could cook his own breakfast. I am wearing a mask inside, and avoiding being in the same room.

Tweety, I don't doubt that you got an excellent evaluation. To me, the narcotics documentation sounds more like a systems error.

I never cared for James Brolin as an actor, but I think his son Josh is good. I definitely would skip that movie.

Dianah, I hear you about your credit union mobile app. Ours is quite glitchy, and when they ask me to rate it, I give it one star. Even the online site is unfriendly, and I hate that they keep trying to sell me another credit card. I had to quick using their bill pay because they didn't make the auto payments that I set up. I'm too lazy to switch to another credit union.

Thanks guys.  Even though we don't know each other we all know we are or were great nurses.

Dianah, sorry you had a rough night sleeping.

I was lucky when I was with my late ex because he insisted on washing the dishes and keeping the kitchen clean which was good since I did all the cooking and didn't have to clean up.  He did pretty much nothing else so I cleaned the bathrooms, etc.  My breakfast dishes are still in the sink.  My sheets are still in the dryer that I washed this morning.

The other day I had someone cut down some dead trees in my front yard. I'm a tree killer.  Everything inside and out dies here.  He wanted me to pay by Zelle, but there's some glitch with my credit union.  He took a check and deposited it with his app right then and there.

When I called them they said it's a glitch and I'm not the only one that has problems with cash apps.  Otherwise I really like my credit union.  I pay my bills through the individual sites such as electric, utilities and phone are set up with those companies to automatically be paid from my checking account.

I made some tempeh vegan chorizo for tostadas later, got a 30 minute walk in before it got hot and went to hot yoga.   Going to clean up the kitchen, fold those sheets and relax the rest of the evening.

When we first moved here, before Vodka took over my husband's life, he voluntarily did the dishes and house-cleaning ALL the time. I wonder now if turn-about is fair play? Doesn't feel so very fair because I never volunteered to take care of everybody's everything....Now I have earned about a dozen halos, but they are pretty heavy.

Braves got ahead 6-0 in the first inning! Hope they keep it up!

This is the third day in a row that hubby has been extremely chatty. I guess that's better than him being withdrawn and sulky, but WHEW! As the afternoon wears, on his speech will become slower, with lots of hesitations: "uh......uh........uh......" and slurring. I better go get my hearing aids now to avoid having him get crabby when he starts slurring and I have to say, "What?"

Had  to go back to the Food Lion because I left my little black notebook, AKA "my brain". Whew! Glad it was turned into their lost and found!

Hope the Braves are still doing well.

I also didn't realize Paxlovid required a good creatinine. But glad you got that taken care of. Geesh.

Stepdaughter thought she was leaving tomorrow but realized last night that it was today. I drove her to the bus station and they told her the bus was full and she would have to wait for the next one. And the guy was pretty rude about it when she pointed out that she had a ticket and a seat. So I drove her to the airport and bought a plane ticket. Even with having to wait for a late afternoon flight she will be home earlier than she would have by bus.

The church choir decided to sing for the service tomorrow, just meeting briefly to go over a communion song that we know. Our former pastor and his wife will be doing the service and it will be good to see them.

Just got home from a good practice with fiddler, in anticipation of our mid-August program at the bluegrass festival.  Then we went out for Thai food, which was delicious!  And it was good to catch up with her and her SO.

Tonight I hope I sleep well, considering what little sleep I got.  I did take a 20-min cat-nap before lunch, so that helped.

It will be 101 degrees again tomorrow, so we will be indoors in the A/C.

Have a good evening!

Oh, and fiddler's SO has a '69 (??) Road Runner that he just got working again.  He started it up for us while we were there, and MAN!  it was LOUD!  And yes, that was with the muffler!  Such a cool car!

Ado, good you took care of stepdaughter and her travel.

No Stars, hope you managed to make it through the day with a chatty Mr. Stars.  Hopefully Nannie wasn't chatty as well, as we know how they feed off each other!

nursej22, hope you were able to get what you wanted done, before your trip!
