Tweety some days at work I feel like I'm going the same thing

Stars I can understand wanting your time free to be time to relax as opposed to get things done

NJ22 seeing eagles would be cool, not sure there are any locations near here to do that

Ado my sister and I used to try and make fudge when we were home for the Summer, but it never quite turned out right

Dianah that does seem easier than doing all the cookies in one go

Work was not bad yesterday, a bit busier than expected but not bad.  Went to Trader Joe's to get some more of their hot chocolate I like but found out that it is a seasonal item and no longer in stock.  Tends to be an issue with that store, a lot of seasonal items, and stuff is often discontinued

Today will try to get outside to bird watch although it may be too cold, but we'll see. Will get together with dad as usual for lunch.  Might watch Svengoolie, who has Abbott and Costello Meet Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.  Nice to have a normal weekend after all of the holiday stuff

Going to be colder today, only up to the mid 20s, only in the teens currently

Woke up at 8:30, took my meds and went back to sleep for a couple of hours, and then VOILA, my hips and knees felt much better when I got up again. I love how the meds work!

Had some coffee and then Nannie came trailing out of her bedroom, so put a blanket over her lap, and then I gave her the breakfast tray and pills. After that I got her dressed and she immediately started showing me the clothes I had just put on her....like, um, how could I not have seen or noticed them otherwise?! D'Oh!

She hasn't asked but the answer is already "No, we aren't going out". It is 39 degrees and kinda breezy. Not sure yet if she will drop off into Snooze-Land, but, naturally, I hope she does! I'll wait about 20 minutes or so, to see if she gets heavy-lidded.

My "planning for the year"? 😂🤣😋 Same as every single day.....(A.) laundry (have a load running now), (B.) dishes (I did everything except all the silverware yesterday, and left them to soak in hot soapy water.....), and of course, (C.) emptying the wastebaskets....which seem to 'go forth and multiply" daily. There are no reservations to make for any of that, and no cancelled flights. ✈️

So, I guess that's it for now. May be back by here later, I dunno.....

Joe, I wonder if you can find the hot chocolate online (and then, if the price with shipping is worth it.

The 55+ ladies hike didn't happen due to illness. I did not have to work today or tonight. Sunday is still pending. Took Binx to the vet because he's vomiting (mostly bile) a lot and his appetite is poor. We have anti-nausea med, gentle food, and probiotics. I gave the anti- nausea pill several minutes ago and just now hear him retching.

What's all this with vomiting cats? Is there something 'going around' or is it the cats' ages, or what? I hope they all get better and stay better! No more cat-puke; I have spoken!!

Ya know, a day wouldn't be a proper day until "somebody" reacts to these posts! 😏 One day he/she will shock us  by actually posting something. (Something from Somebody! Imagine that!)

Anyway, I have no time for fantasies....I have laundry to attend to! 😉

I will post then LOL! Getting adjusted to life in Ocala. At a 55+ community. My post nursing/research career is being an admin asst. for 20 bucks an hour and no benefits. I can take vacation unpaid any time I wish. None of the responsibility, and my butt is out the door at 5pm no matter what crisis is happening. Oh, and it is working for a financial advisor. What a change! I told them the only reason I would stay one second past 5 is if someone requires CPR LOL. Oldest employee at 62 🙂

Congrats on the new changes Crunch !

Stars, it seems like even for me there's always an endless amount of household chores to do.  Bleh.

The roof is done and looks nice except some of the house doesn't have stucco and that won't be done until mid-January and then there's gutters to be installed and there's still old roof in the yard to be removed so I can't enjoy it just yet.

Got out of work on time.  We're having an uptick in people that need to be hospitalized for respiratory ailments including the flu.

Working tomorrow and off for three days.

I'm sure the increase in respiratory ailments is widespread. It's sure keeping us busy, and since it's also affecting staff... well, I get to work a half shift tomorrow on med/surg.

I don't know about these vomiting cats. Given that we'd just lost Turbo my mind was going to worst-case scenarios for Binx. Like heart failure, since he has a murmur. He's only 8 years old (has been with us just 2 years). He has shown no interest in eating even after getting medicated for nausea. At least he is drinking.

Another deep cold spell that should break tomorrow.  It was -28°F today.  I brought the grandson out to help me bag up poopsicles tomorrow when the temps are supposed to be nearer zero. It's a fun chore on his holiday from school.

I don't have vomiting cats but I do have one husky with a nervous stomach who is often vomiting or having diarrhea. It's not unusual for us to be jumping out of bed in the early hours of the morning at the sound of a largish dog retching in the dark.

Our oldest dog is getting weak.  He fell down outside again today and had difficulty getting back up.  He is 12 and has been insulin dependent for the past couple of years. So far he's doing OK with a couple ASA every morning and night, and an occasional tramadol.

Yes, the increase in viral illnesses is widespread.  Our CDC is currently  still tracking and tabulating that data but going forward that accuracy will be suspect, IMV. I'll be masking during my air travel in February.
