NJ22 sounds like a fun time

Stars hopefully she fell asleep

Hi Dianah

Tweety hope your next shift is less crazy

Ado glad work was quiet

Yesterday was good at work, not much to do either for me or the person I was covering for.  Was strangely tired in the later part of yesterday, so I didn't exercise as planned, just rested. Eventually felt better.  Fairly quiet day. Watched A Charlie Brown Christmas as I had forgotten to do so on Christmas

Today will get out for some hiking and birdwatching, then meeting up with my friend J for a late breakfast.  Then with my dad as usual for lunch. Will also find some time to pick up some stuff at the grocery store

Similar weather again, mid 40s, no rain or snow expected

Good morning!

Slept in after giving Waffles her eye drops and breakfast at 6AM.  Didn't think I was going to sleep so much since I went to bed relatively early. Must have needed it.

Don't really have much to do today.  I'm won't be cleared to return to the gym or yoga until after my follow up appointment with the surgeon on 1/5 so I might just take a walk.  It's going to be a nice day with a high of 71.

I saw "A Charlie Brown Christmas" was on Apple TV but didn't watch it.  Maybe next year.  I tend to watch something once and don't repeat.  But we did watch Charlie Brown many years as a kid.  I did order the vinyl album run honor of it's 60th anniversary, but it hasn't arrived yet and will  play it next year.

Hiya, Hiya, Hiya! (That's froggy, twanging his magic twanger) Nannie's "magic twanger" is out of order. She doesn't know the difference between the tray in her lap, and the table beside her. She held up her half finished yogurt cup and asked me an unintelligible question, but my answer was, "If you haven't eaten all of it, finish it." When she was through, she put the cup down but held on to the spoon. When I told her to put the spoon down on the tray, there was a lot of back-and-forth about where the tray was. Then I told her to drink her juice, but she couldn't find it because it was right beside her elbow, on the table with the lamp on it, and after me saying that several times, she finally found the juice glass, and asked "Do you want me to drink this?" No, Nannie, pour it over your head. (---XXX----Sorry, that was bad of me to even think it! ---XXX...)

I was thinking it's Sunday, but once again I am wrong about what day it is. I'd have said Sunday, but my cell-phone says otherwise. Knees and thighs are maybe a little better today. Maybe they feel somewhat relieved about the fibromyalgia (self-diagnosis) being the problem. I'm a'gonna TRY to keep my temper and aggravation level low, and maybe they will cool their jets a little more. It sure was funny-odd to read that one of the symptoms of fibromyalgia is that peculiar one of the front muscles of the thighs aching, caused by STRESS!

If it really turned out to be Sunday, I would only have to wait until the next day for Nannie to be toted off to daycare. Ah me, oh my.

I think I just heard the trash truck stopping and starting down the street, which means mine didn't get picked up because I didn't put them out! Nobody from that company ever tells us when the holidays affect the pick-up day. I still have some wastebasket bags and a couple of those 'kitchen size' bags full (30 gal) and ready to go out. But, like, I mean, who cares! It is just another one of life's irritating times. Surprise (not) surprise!

Guess I should go walk Tinker. Yesterday evening when I walked her, I noticed there was water in the chickens jug, which was still upright, BUT.....there were NO chickens! I think they must've gotten rid of them because it is ....was.... the husband's chore to take care of. Not a particularly tough chore, but apparently an easy one to ignore. Maybe the wife read him the riot act because I can't quit calling and letting them know about the chickens not having water again. Once upon a time it was a plan to make them a different, larger pen a little further away from the house.... Guess that problem has been 'solved' by ditching the chickens. Now I wonder....did they sell them, give them away, or slaughter them, pull out their feathers and guts, and freeze them for future meals.  IMHO, a few of them didn't look so healthy, but it's a moot point now!

Only a few dirty dishes and only a little dirty laundry, so I dunno if I will take care of it or not. Kind of like my neighbor ignoring the chickens! 😂

This sofa is not nice to my right hip. I wish I could go get LA-Z-Boy reclining chairs and a sofa. Wish my 'new-ish: mattress wasn't 18+  inches thick....too hard to lift and get a fitted sheet to stay along the under-edge where it is supposed to be, and it is a struggle to get that dern sheet changed. I pull it away from the two sides that abut the wall, and then crawl on it to stretch the far corner into place. Gracefully, of course, while grunting and cussing all the while.

Nannie is scowling at her feet and looking out the window. Whenever I have her in the bathroom standing and hanging onto the towel bar under the window so I can pull up her britches, she always remarks, kind of surprised, that "It is DARK outside!" or "It is BRIGHT out there!" Well, it is either daytime or night-time, but I suppose with dementia things don't fit together like a jigsaw puzzle, so it might seem like an odd thing to notice. Huh.

WWaalllll, nothing much to jibber-jabber about, so I will stop now. Hope everyone's weekend is more-gooder than mine promises to be!

Relaxing outside in 81 degree weather. Tomorrow's high is expected to be 66 and Monday's 41 so we will enjoy this for today.

It's cold! 30, but feels like 22. My face was hurting by the time I rode to the cafe, despite having it covered with a kerchief. But the sun is out and shining off the snowy mountains.
I need to haul the garbage out. Luckily, our trash company operates even on holidays. And we have lots of recycling to put out, too.
Dh got me a battery powered set of pruners. That probably sounds weird, but between my garden and the demo garden, I will have 50 roses to prune and my hand gets tired. I am going to try them out a little today. Zooba, zooba. That's the sound they make, LOL.
I have started to form piles of items left behind on Christmas: dishes, socks, a dog leash. I'm meeting eldest sis tomorrow for lunch, so I'll take her salad bowl.
As someone who had had several surgeries, they always seem achier as I get older.

Hello all!

I slept probably four hours last night.  I don't want to nap, so's I will hopefully sleep more tonight.

It's a beautiful day out -- 57 degrees, and still some clouds around the mountains, but blue skies here in the valley.  I went for a walk after lunch, and enjoyed the fresh air.  When I arrived back home, I saw a package had been delivered -- some little flashlights I'd ordered for the kids and dh for Christmas (obviously they didn't arrive in time!), just gadgets that drew my fancy.  I gave dh his, and he's putting it through its paces now.  I will mail youngest ds's and dil's to them later this week, and pass the other on to oldest ds when I see him.  Apparently he felt well enough to go to work today, hope he did OK.

That's it from here, not much exciting or earth-shattering.  Have a good evening!
