Good morning!
Joe, again, I don't know how you guys stand that cold.
I reached out to TMB a while back and haven't heard. His last post was October 1st over in the political area. If he or his wife NMB are reading, we'd like to hear from you.
It's going to be in the upper 60's and low 70's this upcoming week. I think that's pretty normal for us.
J22 that's devastating and what a time of year to be dealing with disaster.
Stars, I hate when things disappear into thin air like that. I usually find stuff after I quit looking. I misplaced some drops of Waffles the other day and found them in the refrigerator. Duh
Ado, did you get that tree up?
As a boomer, I was a watch wearer too. The old kind without digital readings. But also modern in that it was solar powered. When it broke a couple of years ago I never got it fixed and now like the young ones I use my phone. I keep meaning to treat myself to a new one. But now I don't miss it. Just about all of my Gen Z and Millenial coworkers wear smart watches. I've thought about getting one, but I don't need my texts and emails on my phone, I don't care how many steps I've walked and I don't need a beep to remind me to drink water and the other stuff it does. But they are cool. Some I believe have heart monitors for those that need it.
Dianah have a good gig.
I had a couple of uneventful days at work except for a patient who had extremely low blood pressure at shift change and we had to call an RRT for that and mental status changes. After talking to her I said to myself "she looks high as a kite". We gave her narcan and boluses and she returned to baseline. We suspect she took something from her visitor as we didn't give her anything. It was annoying because I was on the verge of getting out at a decent time. The nerve. We are not a well society if you ask me.
I should have a fairly normal weekend off. I'm still going through my extensive collection of Christmas music. I got a hair up my butt and ordered "A Charlie Brown Christmas" on vinyl. It won't get here until the 26th when I generally stop listening to Christmas music but will give it a spin and save for next year.
Hi y'all~ It is almost noon and I have been awake for an hour now, had my coffee and meds. Prolly ought to get up and dressed. It is supposed to get up to a high of 58 😊 degrees today, then in a couple of days we are going to have a high of 😲38 degrees. It will be a good day to stay inside, but I will have to walk Tinker....maybe in her new 'parka', to stay warm.
Have no plans for this weekend, just the usual laundry and dishes, and then tolerating the days through to Monday when Nannie goes to daycare. Such an exciting life.
Today was mostly foggy, misty with a few sun breaks. Warm in the 50s. We attended a mason bee workshop, because the eagle observation thing we were scheduled to attend was changed to January, because the highway is damaged from flooding. There were several fellow Master Gardeners there. We apparently did things correctly when we cleaned ours last week. So we shall see if ours survive to emerge in the Spring.
The dogs seem rather subdued today. I gave them oral flea medicine yesterday and I wonder if that is why.
I dropped my apple watch when getting out of the car today and cracked the crystal. Doggone it. I'm not sure if there is a local place to get it repaired. I actually use it a lot, because its easier than fishing out my phone, and if its attached I don't put it down and lose it. Rats.
Hello all!
nursej22, too bad about your watch crystal cracking. I hope you can find a place to get it repaired.
Tweety, GAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH, I agree, what a sick thing to do. But she had to go through all the RRT ruckus, so I hope it interfered with her plans to nod off quietly. Sorry you didn't get off on time.
Joe, gingerbread sounds good (and smells good)! Brrrrrr, it is COLD there!
Gig went well. We were up early, and arrived a good 1.5 hours before the event, to set up the microphones and sound system (mainly dh, I must say!). I in spite of all we did and brought, however, we forgot to bring the music stand! I really needed it to hold the set list and cheat sheets I bring. Luckily, by the time we realized we needed it, bass player had arrived, and had just the thing in his truck! The program, eight songs, was not without its glitches but ppl said they enjoyed it, and hearing the band, and we had fun doing it! Had a good potluck afterwards, too, and some social time. We got home around 2pm, and once I changed into House Clothes and laid down, I slept like a log! Dh just woke up too, so he slept well!
For tomorrow's program, at bassist's church, we are not due there till 4pm, and it starts at 5pm. So, we don't have to be up at O-Dark-Thirty.
Yesterday I made soup, so the freezer is stocked for a few days, don't have to worry about cooking.
It was mid-70's today, and we have a slight warming trend going on for the next few days. I am waiting for a couple online-ordered items to arrive, then will box them up and mail them to youngest ds and his wife. I may have to just box up what I have at present, for two items I am waiting for ... and waiting ... and waiting ... very disappointing to not receive them in a timely manner.
Have a good evening!
Behold, the tree!
I have 2 gifts (things stepson asked for) that I can wrap. Maybe tomorrow. The wind has been blowing this evening, bringing in a cold front with a low of 20 tonight and high around 35 tomorrow.
The flooding is impressive. I hope it isn't too destructive.
I do wonder about TMB.
I don't think your in-laws understand the assignment, Stars. Not sure how to communicate that to them without causing problems.
The blurs are cats. It is Ilsa's first Christmas after all and she is fascinated.

Ado a concert sounds fun
Stars that's disappointing that they have not been helpful post surgery
Dianah that recipe sounds interesting, I'm making a Mediterranean tuna salad this week
NJ22 glad the flooding has missed your area, that river looks wild
Work was a bit busier than expected yesterday, with the various documents that arrived and had to be reviewed. But not a bad day. After work stopped at the pet store and pharmacy and did some more gift wrapping
Will not be going out today, only 12 currently and will get colder as the day progresses. So I will go out briefly for coffee, then stay in and make a loaf of gingerbread for the first time. Might have lunch out with dad if he's up to it, though we may get some snow later so he might decide not to. Will do more gift wrapping today too and exercise
I think it's getting down to 1 tonight, and we'll have similar weather tomorrow, although it will warm up after that
