NJ22 have always liked the paintings of the Dutch masters

Stars sounds like you had a productive day

Ado quieter days can be nice

Tweety that seems a bit rude of them

Another pretty good day at work yesterday, not too busy, nothing really unexpected.  After work was going to take my phone in but our local computer shop is a bit busy, still trying to coordinate with the owner when he'll have time to look at it.  Minor problem so it's not a big deal if it gets delayed.  Didn't do much else except exercise

Today going to take the train downtown to a protest.  Will be away a few hours so won't be doing lunch with dad as I usually do.  Not much else planned for today, might see if the computer guy is free once I get back home

Have been reading another Carter biography, this time by Jonathan Alter, which was recommended by my aunt.  This one gives more information on his pre-presidential life than the previous once I had read

Will be in the 50s today, thankfully the rain previously predicted is no longer in the forecast

Good Morning!

Hope you have a good day.

I'll be going to one of the protests but probably a small one in a community close.  Not sure I want to deal with traffic and crowds.

Last night on my computer I let out a "Holy Shiite" and my roommate in another room said "you looked at your retirement account didn't you?".  Indeed I had.  Yikes.

Otherwise not much going on.  Waffles let me sleep an hour and a half past her meal time but I fed her late but she was getting a bit restless and woke me up.

Weather should be warm in the 80's.

Indonesia was a long time colony of the Dutch. When they gained independence, many immigrated to Amsterdam. Anyway, food was good, a little spicy.
We have a free day today. Did some shopping, walked to the Royal Palace(photo #1) undergoing renovations, not currently open to the public. So many canals! They run in concentric rings around the city, with a few connectors, like spokes. They are many "coffee shops " aka cannabis shops. And many tattoo shops. I took a pic of a gardener in the window of the Lego shop. It reminded me of Dh.

Today's high temp will be 85 degrees, and by Wednesday the high temp will be 59 degrees. Mother Nature must've gotten a yoyo, to play with the temps like this!

So I put Nannie back to bed three times last night AFTER I put  her to bed the first time last night.....even Momo was getting tired of it!  I went down at 10 AM to get a cup of coffee and feed Momo, there was Nannie again, all crumpled to her right side in the recliner....I swear! (FREQUENTLY!) I just let her be, as she was sleeping quite soundly, and I was just not awake enough to deal with her (without irritation.) So I came back upstairs to bed to have my coffee and wake up more, in order to be able to deal with 'The Nannie Routine'. 🙄 It is a weird habit she has, getting up in the dark, not too warm den and then sitting in the dark. Must be one of the rabbit-holes in her brain that triggers this activity.

Okie-dokie, it is Saturday, and my guess is that BiL will come over later to mow the front and back yards. Nannie has "nowhere to go" (Nowhere Woman--"Doesn't have a point of view, Knows not where she's going to"......apologies to the Beatles!) And I do not have any errands that need running. The dishes in the kitchen sink have already been mostly taken care of; there is only a glass and a fork and spoon there; more to come after she has breakfast. Have not checked her bed linens yet, as she has made her bed already and I don't want to start in a search domestic chores only to end up with MORE laundry. I do have two loads of my own laundry to do, as it is (as Tweety might say) "Change the bed day" or "wash the sheets day".  Reminds me of the Mickey Mouse Club on TV, when Wednesdays were "Anything Can Happen Day"! Sometimes it seems like Wednesdays here EVERY day!

It was nice to wake up to more floor in my bedroom, since the clean laundry has been put away as of last night. Not sure what I'll be dabbling in today. Will continue to try to keep my cool with my "ward", and I ain't talkin' the outdoors temp!

Gonna get dressed now, and then maybe I'll get Nannie up and dressed, Not entirely sure I replaced the underpad on her chair, but I sure hope I did! Anyway,,,,,that's it for now.....

Couldn't fall asleep last night.  Finally got in 3 hr of sleep.  I see a nap in my near future!

Sun is shining today, temp should be in the 70's.  Nice Spring day.  We are having an early supper out with oldest ds, dh wants us to go to the Mediterranean restaurant, so we will go there.

Have a good afternoon!

So, NOW Nannie is sleeping. You would've thought she'd have slept well last night, being tired from getting up early, and being at the DayCare all day. I have mixed feelings about asking the doc what she can take so she sleeps at night, instead of getting up numerous times for her unknown reasons. But would she then be awake all day? Hmmm. A dilemma for sure! (at least for ME!)

Again, thanks for the pictures, J22!

Tweety, that is pretty rude of the other staff. I used to think I could tell I garnered a little respect from being not so young. Now I think I've become irrelevant to some of the younger ones.

Rain and wind. A piece of metal blew off the building next door to the hospital (erstwhile car dealership) and landed in the hospital's employee parking lot. No apparent damage. Our HR manager who lives in another part of the state says their home's roof and windows will have to be replaced. Temp expected to drop to 33 tonight so we might have a "wintery mix."

Gma just became agitated and fussed at Hubs and Twin B but her speech isn't understandable much of the time. Not sure what that was all about.
