I posted this morning, but I posted it at the end of Friday's messages. OH well!
I have spent the past 4 hours tearing my bedroom apart and rearranging the shelves, storing stuff that is all over the place in my room, but isn't currently in use, dusting, tossing hings in a box and bag for the women's shelter's store ......BUT I am not done yet. I still have to clean out the closet, and that can wait a day or two, because the closed door of the closet is hiding. I also have to empty out the Queen Ann desk so I can actually use it as a desk, and put my bills and other desk stuff in there. That would eliminate the terrible habit I have of stacking receipts, bills, checkbooks. There's the rolls of scotch-tape and packing tape, pens and markers, scissors, little notebooks, and a whole lot of ETC. !
I am completely worn out, exhausted and aching! I told hubby earlier that I do not care what is for supper, that I was not cooking tonight (not even heating anything up in the oven or microwave) and I was not going to drive anywhere to get supper.....because I'm wiped out. AND I am ALSO doing MORE laundry!
Going to have coffee and peruse....either the news-links on-line, OR a trash magazine from the grocery checkout. I got it yesterday. I am not very into the entertainment news or the fabulous rich and famous, but it is rather relaxing to me to know that *I* do not have to dress up in weird designer clothes and wear those Choo-choo 6 inch stiletto heels. Plus I do all the puzzles in there. I do this when Nannie and hubby are watching something I've already seen or don't care to see. I don't care if I am interrupted with the junk rags, but I can't read a book/follow a plot because I DO care about being interrupted!!
I am getting too tired to think------------Later, y'all!
good afternoon. It's sunny and cool here, 49. I did just a mile of walk/jog this morning. I am going to try getting on my bike tomorrow, ride to breakfast and get a ride home. I've been out and did a little clean up in the yard, and pulled my goal of 2 buckets of weeds. I was looking for some asparagus sprouts, but didn't see anything. I tried to declutter some inside. Now I'm watching Ted Lasso in between laundry loads. Dh went to the opening day of the farmers market. That place is too crowded for me, and I always get stepped on, an elbow in the chest, or thwacked it the head with a backpack. There are drawbacks to only being 5' tall.
I ate lunch so late, that I skipped dinner, and went to bed early. dh picked up some groceries. Who knows if he actually thought about something for dinner tonight. I would be fine with popcorn.
I'm an idiot and not much of an infection preventionist. Finally took myself to the brand-new urgent care after work last night and my strep screen was positive. No pharmacies open after 7 pm in our little burg so I finally started a z-pack about 11 this morning. Today I feel worse than ever and my temp's up a little. Surely by tomorrow or Monday will be better.
Stepson fired off emails to our lawyer who is now all concerned and wants to talk about a successor guardian (who will have to be paid). Of course if he could get disability payments that could cover a guardian. Gosh, I don't know.
Good day, all
Harumph! Nannie is so flipped out about all the birds feeding outside the back door where I've been dishing out the seeds, nuts, fruit, etc. I love watching them! But I guess it 'distracts' her. Hubby said that all the birds are keeping her from watching out for "Bloody Bones". She always seems to think there are people 'out there' trying to peek in at her. Ppfftt!
I am going to clean it all up tomorrow and put the birdseed elsewhere. I am soooo p.o'd about her majesty wanting everything to be perfect....which doesn't seem to include nature.
Ado, I so hope and pray you will feel better soon!
No Stars, you did an AWESOME job on your room! Big KUDOS for that! The rest will wait, till after you REST. Too bad you must move the bird buffet. They will find it, wherever you move it to!
Just got in from our museum program. It was fun, held outdoors by those who really enjoy living in and checking out the history of their little area. We played while they ate dinner. They held a raffle, had some country music by a keyboard and bass duo, and did a skit highlighting all the movies/TV shows that have been filmed in the Apple Valley area: among them, Sky King, horror flick The Tarantula, Ordinary People. Look it up, a lot were filmed there! Also, Roy Rogers and Dale Evans lived in Apple Valley for many years, and the little "Legacy" museum had lots of memorabilia connected with them.
It was a little cool and windy after the sun went down but most of the events were done by then. We packed up, and met at Corky's diner for a late-ish dinner.
Gotta get to bed, for we have to be up at 6 in order to get things ready and drive to the other program, a Senior Brunch at our church. Band members will meet us there. This one should be fun too, and not cold or windy, but INSIDE!!
Have a good night.
Ado, get well.
Stars what does " the closed door of the closet is hiding" mean?
Dianah, sounds like an action packed weekend.
Work was one of those very annoying 6:1 ratio days. Not sure what it is but every time it's 6:1, I have a bad day. Lunch at 3pm, clocking out at nearly 9pm. Lots of annoying things to take up my time like waiting nearly 30 minutes for an Albanian translator on the language line. The secretary was about an hour late. Then after an hour went to breakfast, then went took more than 30 minutes for lunch, then left at 3pm, four hours early to attend his daughters school play. I want that job.

Tweety I always found 3 12s really tiring
NJ22 that does sound like a good time
Stars I'm glad he found the phone
Dianah I'm sure you'll do great, even with limited practice
Work was busier yesterday, lot to do for the person I was covering for. Had to stay a little late to get everything done. Got a new case at the end of the day, which will have to wait until Monday
After work was pretty quiet, just did laundry and monitored the weather. Didn't get bad here, unlike some other areas
If the rain holds off for a bit will do a little bird watching today. The environmental group meets this afternoon, hopefully the rain will be all done by then. Will be meeting dad for lunch tomorrow instead of today
Svengoolie was Abbott & Costello Meet the Mummy, which is pretty good
Chillier today, in the low 40s, but will be in the upper 50s by tomorrow
