Has anyone applied to this program for this Fall? Have you heard anything yet? I was told we would find out by the end of April, but there's not a specific date.
Thanks!

This is my second year applying and I cant WAIT to find out if I'm in or not! Last year I got an email during my honeymoon, actually, which was on about May 27... I really hope they do tell us earlier this year, I seriously can't wait another minute!
We really want to start a family and if I get into school that just means we are that much closer to being able to! This is the only school I applied to since it really is the best in the area and we really don't want to have to move anywhere. Good luck everyone, and please post as soon as you get any news!

raynbabe07,
I am in the same position as you. We want to start a family, and that is our big problem right now. If I get in, I will have to wait a few years (32, not getting any younger).
Did any of you apply to College of Marin? I am taking the TEAS test on the 15th. I got notification of COM that I am number 38, and that I have to take the TEAS test. Good luck to everyone!

So here's an update! I emailed the director of the Nursing Program and asked when we will be receiving our acceptance/denial letters. She advised that we will be notified by email, and it will be in June. So we can all breathe for another month!
Thank you for the update!
JUNE!?! AHHHHH! LOL

Ugh!! That's so far away!! Here is the email she sent me about 2 months ago... I'm guessing maybe they got behind or something?
Most likely not until late April. We have no definite deadline for notifying students.

JUNE?? Laaaaame!!
This is the only school I applied to, since I really dont want to have to commute, and SRJC is such a good nursing program, but man, if I dont get in, I dont know what I'll do.. I wish I had at least applied to their LVN program, then be able to do the lvn-rn bridge. It would take a year longer, but thatd be better than just waiting around for a year or more for the RN program. The next LVN class after this one isn't til Spring '12 so I kinda missed that boat.. ugh

I am waiting to hear back also. I was hoping to hear in May. I have started studying for the TEAS just in case. This is the only school I have applied to as I am a mother of three little kids. I heard there were 400+applicants. I did go to the Napa orientation. What a complete waste of time! I was not impressed with their program at all. I decided not to apply there. Have any of you taken the medication math administration class?

I have not. If I am accepted for this fall, then I will take it over the summer. I want to take the class right before nursing school so that it all sticks and will make the program at least a tiny bit easier!
I can't believe we have to wait until June!!!! Arrgghhh!

I was wondering when we would receive our notifications, sure didn't think it would be in June! I applied at Marin and Napa also....my number @ Napa is in the 500's, and was a no go for Marin. We decided to move back east and I got into a program back there, so if I do get accepted into SRJC I will give up the spot for someone on the waiting list.
I already took the TEAS @ PUC college and heard the score is good for two years, is that true? I wish everyone luck with getting in to SRJC. Someone mentioned that they started school late, I say better late than never. I'm in my 50's and this has been my first ever college experience. I have made many great friends and love the learning....even when some of the classes kill me May we all be able to fulfill our dreams:nurse:
Hi Lifedreamer,
Congrats on already being accepted at least somewhere! I too am an older student and love it. I'll be turning 40 this August and have been working on this goal for about 10 years. We were growing our family so I'd have a baby and take time off then go back to school. To finally be at the point of waiting to hear is really exciting. I guess it can't be much longer before we find out. Still waiting anxiously!!!
Hi Mammanurse2be,
I will keep my fingers crossed for you:). wow, ten years working on this sure shows a lot of dedication to making your dream come true. I sure hope you get in for Fall. Best of luck to you.
