Hi there!
Creating a thread for students who have applied to SMC ADN Spring 2023. How many points did you go in with? Have you heard back regarding PAX testing?
Hi!!
Thank you! That is so nice of you ?
if it’s not too complicated of a question, I am a little bit curious about how the placements for clinicals are assigned. Did you get a choice or do they just randomly assigned something to you? Any tips for enrolling in our first semester classes?
OK same, just completed my drug screen yesterday. Please update the thread for those that got an email ?
@Rcm Hello! How’s the semester going so far? Whats your current schedule like? and how much time do you set aside for studying outside of class? Are you able to juggle a part time/per diem job? I am debating if I should even work or do school full time. Any feedback is appreciated!

So for clinical they are assigned to you randomly, I think for me I remember receiving the email 2 weeks before classes start, but for your first class you don't start going to your clinical sight until about 4 weeks later. As for enrolling in your class, there are no options, there is only one professor who teaches the class.

Hi! So I just started N2 which is a bit stressful. The program itself is very fast paced because the classes are condensed in an 8 week period. I currently have a part time job, and what I did for the first half of the semester is work 3 days a week, but the weekend before an exam I did not work at all. I think that for the first 8 weeks you can for sure have a job, but it makes it easier to study when you don't. Personally, I struggle to grasp concepts quickly so I like to have as much time as I can to study, because its not only memorization, its applying what you are learning.
It should show up in Castle Branch automatically. I went in Thursday morning and my results where in CB yesterday. As long as you gave them the print out form I think they should be able to link it back to your account.
I'm waiting to hear back about orientation. They gave us a deadline of 11/11 so maybe the invites will go out then.

Thank you for the info! Excited to get started. Any general advice for the weeks leading up to the start of the program?
