Hi there! 

Creating a thread for students who have applied to SMC ADN Spring 2023. How many points did you go in with? Have you heard back regarding PAX testing? 

@Mmssmm22 that is awesome! I scored 149 going in with 84 points! Praying for some good news! I emailed the admin assistant and she said program status notifications will go out by the end of the month ?

Yay!! Thats a great score ! I’d say your chances are very good but every cohort is different ? 

 

Last year they sent out notifications on Nov 1 and 2nd ! Fingers crossed !

I don’t think we need to start a group yet, I think the school will invite us to a private group

Big congrats everyone! I got accepted too!! ? I got accepted to a few other schools so have to crack down on my decision asap! SMC was one of my tops schools so I’m elated!

Congrats! I meant to apply to more schools but I dropped the ball w/ the deadlines so I'm just going to go w/ SMC.  Which other schools accepted you?

I got into College of Canyons as well as private schools WCU and Pacific College

I’m definitely leaning on going to SMC bc of the tuition cost and location. NCLEX passing rates are amazing too! So exciting!! Cant wait to meet you all ?

I chose SMC because it has a great reputation for clinical nursing. clinicals take place at some of the best hospitals in California and they easily bridge into BSN programs. The nurses at the hospital I work at all say what a good program it is and I think employment prospects after graduation are really good! So I definitely think if you got in, it’s a great opportunity to go to one of the best RN programs out there ❤️

Nice, I heard that COC is somewhat picky, so it's cool that you got accepted there. My ex-gf went to WCU, she's doing great RN but damn if it wasn't stupidly expensive...

@Bacondan Exactly! I also heard the simulations and resources they offer are great but I can’t justify 140K… after obtaining my ADN we can easily start working and have companies reimburse tuition to alleviate some cost for a BSN bridge 

@Mandy1 hello! The cutoff date to apply for Spring was in July. Not sure when the deadline is to apply for Fall start however it might be posted on the schools website. Also, it is not online. Most RN programs don’t offer online unless it’s a RN to BSN program. Good luck to you! ?
