I haven't seen a thread yet for anyone who applied on May 15, 2015 for the ASN program at Santa Fe College! I'm just opening one up in case anyone wants to share their fears, any knowledge of when acceptance/rejection letters get mailed, compare our number of points, or even just offer moral/peer support while we all wait for the day to come!!:)

Well I got 100% on the reading comprehension part and I got above whatever you needed to get the full points for the math part. I took it a year ago and I remember not being very happy about my score so I'm guessing between 86%-89%. I should have asked but I was a little frazzled.

Oh yeah, I definitely have faith for you in that case. Honestly, the best of wishes. Give us updates if they call you in!

I've been waiting for a thread as well, after reading all the previous ones! I got my letter yesterday and I was accepted...yay! Now to begin to the mountain of paperwork that follows! Congrats to everyone who has gotten in and good luck to those who are alternates!!

Maybe we should create a FB group for everyone?

How many points did you have? I had 55 and didn't get in.

I had 55 as well! 3.8 overall GPA, prior degree and volunteer experience. I also scored a 100 on both the reading and math Kaplan scores (idk if that factors in or not?)

A FB group would be great!!

did your letter say something like "Santa Fe is pleased to offer you a tentative position blah blah your spot is reserved if you complete the admissions process?" I was so confused reading it, at first I didn't think I got in!

Yes mine said the same thing! It's basically just giving them the right to give away your seat if you don't complete/pass the drug and background screening!

Your score had to be higher than 55 with a prior degree and kaplan. The kaplan counts for 10 points if you score above an 85 in both sections.

I didn't think I'd get the call but I am in! I'm so relieved and happy. I applied a year ago to Santa Fe and didn't get in. I applied to UF and didn't get in but I kept taking classes to bump up my GPA and I did the 100 hours of volunteer service. Im so happy that it paid off. Don't give up if you didn't get it this time.

Congrat to getting in kelenal!!!! I am applying in September...great Kaplan score, did you study and what study tools did you use? Do they make you take all 4 portions of the test and just use the math and reading, or do you specifically take the 2 needed?
