Where does it explain what the extended campus program is about? How do you get in that? Do they choose or do you? Does your experience only have to be at St. Josephs? Ive worked for a hospital for a year and a half but not there.

The website explains it all under program options. Santa Ana is partnered with St Joseph so I believe they look to help us a bit but I’m not sure.

I found another post about it. It is for those employees. But supposedly those slots dont all get filled so they sometimes ask from the other pool of applicants. Thanks

I applied in September and got rejected. I only had 75.5 points. I took pharmacology so that adds 8 points , but that’s still lower than the 87 cut off point from last fall. Because SAC makes you submit official transcripts each time you apply, I feel like it’s not even worth reapplying.

I think you should apply! I applied with 82.5 points last semester. I went in to review my application after I was rejected and was told the alternate list went down to 83 points so I had been close to at least making the alternate list. Don’t forget they also have a random selection and you could be one of those! Good luck with what you decide to do!

Hi guys,

I applied this morning with 84.5 points. This is my first time applying to SAC. The cut off point last semester was crazy and scared me a lot. So, I went to the counselor first to make sure my calculations is correct. He said I should be fine and my application look great, and they take more students in fall semester (~60 spots). They do not accept my credit for Pharmacology course because I took it at GWC. So, I applied with 84.5 instead of 92.5 like I thought. You guys should ask SAC counselor before register any bonus class to make sure the credit will be taken.

That would have been a good idea. Some schools require a counseling appt but this one didnt. I submitted this week with 89.5 if they accept the points I calculated.

What does “need to work” mean?

At a workshop for another school the counselor said that proof of this would be that you were working at least part time while you were taking your nursing prereqs. So a paystub with a date that was at the same time you were taking those classes. I included proof of my current part time job also just in case.

I was running a small business. Would a 1099 or 1040 schedule C work?

Now that the application window has closed, the waiting game has begun. It looks like last year they received letters beginning in April.

I signed up for informed delivery through the post office and will let everyone know if I receive a letter.

I really need to get accepted into this program.

They said letters will be mailed no later than April 23, 2020. Me too, I really need to get accepted this semester. Hope we both get in.

Did you apply anywhere else? Thanks for the reminder to sign up for informed delivery, I started but didn't finish.
