Did you apply anywhere else? Thanks for the reminder to sign up for informed delivery, I started but didn't finish.

No I didn't I work full time and my wife cant afford to cover our rent and bills if I worked part time. The extended campus program is really my only chance right now.

I found another post about it. It is for those employees. But supposedly those slots dont all get filled so they sometimes ask from the other pool of applicants. Thanks

Hello,

I called and spoke with Terri. She stated that St Joe's employees are not accepted directly into that program. We have to apply and be selected like everyone else. after being accepted and orientation they offer up the ECP option. I'm praying for a miracle I applied with 82.5 ?

Has anyone reached out to Santa Ana about whats going to happen regarding the selection process or anything? I've been working these COVID clinics all week and haven't had a chance to ask.

I received this email yesterday that they sent home all staffs and students (I am currently taking 1 class at SAC). They closed Campus last Thursday for students, but staffs were still working until yesterday. I have no idea how they continue the selection process on time.

I have been meaning to but havent. I work at a school and am off for weeks but still getting paid..and I am part time. I would assume that this time off would give full time staff more time to work on the selection process at home or wherever. I have read from colleges that the only classes not canceled are clinicals for medical students because they have agreements with hospitals and requirements for the state that they need to graduate. Especially with this need for nurses at a time like this, I doubt they would delay the process. My sons teachers and teachers from my school I work at are still working there normal hours from home.

Maybe emailing someone with questions would be the best option since no one is in offices now.

Take care.

Hi guys,

I’m so confusing right now. Due to the Covid19, all nursing classes was cancelled at Golden West College because they don’t have enough clinical hours at the hospital (the Board of Nursing doesn’t accept it). And nursing classes which are required clinical hours have to restart again in September. So, how’s the selection process? Anyone has any idea?

I have been reading articles about this situation with nursing students. Honestly I do not know about santa ana or golden west but I received an email from another school that said they would continue to process our nursing application, but if there is some delay to just be patient and understanding. Maybe schools are dealing with it differently? I'm just trying to wait and see what happens, if I get some kind of email or letter or not. I have alot of time on my hands now so just trying to be patient.

It might be a good idea to reach out via email to schools applied to though. I might do that now that I think of it so I can plan better.

Thanks so much for your information. You calm my mind now. I’ll be patient and wait until April 23rd. If nothing happens, I will email them.

I emailed them. All is good so far.

“The evaluators are currently reviewing applications and are doing their best to have the acceptance letters mailed out by Thursday, April 23rd.

As of now we appreciate for your patience.

Any changes that may affect the date letters will be sent out will be stated on our webpage so please be sure to check back for any status updates or email us so we can provide you with that information.”

Thank you so much that you have reached them out. I just know that Goldenwest College nursing program will reopen again tomorrow. Everything seems go back to normal.

Let me know if any of you begin to start receiving responses ??? The wait is over and we all should start finding out soon. Wishing the best of luck to everyone in this thread ?
