San Joaquin Delta College Spring 2019

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey there! Is anyone else applying for Delta College's nursing program for Spring 2019? This is my first round of applications so I'm really anxious and excited at the same time. What are your stats? I am also applying to American River College in Sacramento Ca where I live. Best of luck to you all!

the website isn't letting me login for the first time. We only have less than a week left!

I saw the points for last semester and I believe the first person on the waitlist had 69 points.

That's depressing.

Just submitted my application! This is so exciting

I'm hoping I get in. I'm applying with 67 points. I know it is kind of a long shot, but it's worth a try.

i applied with 62.5 points! yikes lol but i also applied the advanced pathway as well. hope that helps me..

anyone else applying the advanced pathway? what are your points?

What's the advanced pathway?

The woman on the phone said the fast track is offered to the top 20 with the highest points

it is for those that are LVN or LPT. they come in 2nd or 3rd semster

Anyone go to the informational meeting on the 11th? I totally forgot about it. Did they say anything about the cut off points for this application period? As I've mentioned before, I talked with a Nursing counselor in March and she said it will probably be mid 50s which I don't think has ever been that low! She said it had to do with accepting an extra 20 students for Spring 2019. I also read elsewhere on this thread that their friend was already in the fast track. From what the counselor told me, it was only supposed to be offered for this current application period?

I also believe 69 seemed to be the cut off for the last application period, and if they did offer the fast track for that period, I believe the cut off points/people with lower than 69 would get in.

I went to the meeting and they would not tell anyone about the points. They said that they did not want to discourage anyone from applying. The extra 20 students where admitted during the last application cycle and will also be admitted during this cycle. The fast track option is given to the top 20 students. If they deny it, then it goes down the list. I'm thinking the cutoff this time is probably going to be around 71-72. It always goes up every semester by a few points.

Thank you! I just never got clear direction on the fast track thing.
