San Joaquin Delta College Spring 2012

Has anyone applied yet???:confused::eek:

Does anyone know if the orientation is mandatory? I want to go but I think I will have to work that day.

I would call the office and ask them....

It would definitely be to your benefit but I don't believe it's a deal breaker.

You would have to go to the nursing office and pick up all the paperwork you missed at orientation then.

Yeah it is. There are other stuff that happnes after orientation.

I guess I will have to call them to see what to do. It's in the middle of the day on a Tuesday, I can't be the only one who has work or another class to attend.

Has anybody registered for the Friday & Saturday labs yet? I was really considering doing this and wanted to know if anybody else was, or if anybody from previous semesters have done a weekend shift? I really thought that the experience would be great, being the weekend and all, and possibly getting to see a larger variety of patients. I also would like to work Monday-Wednesday so that would help. Any thoughts or suggestions would be great. I looked up the professor on ratemyprofessor.com, but he/she was not on there. I looked up all the other ones and had no problem finding them.

No they just started offering Fri/Sat classes.

I did not want to give up my weekends so I did not choose it.

I may however end up with a Fri/Sat clinical next time.

Either way it's all good!!

I just registered today for the Fri/Sat clinicals. I also looked up the professor but could not find anything. I am hoping it was a good choice.

They are new instructors for Delta I hear.

Yeah I am so stuck on what to do. I just looked and all 3 hospitals in Stockton are full for the semester for Tuesday and Wednesday Clinicals. So my choices are to either go to Manteca, Tracy or SJGH on Friday/Saturday. I don't register until 1:15pm today. Tracy is the furtherst from me, as I live in Sacramento. I can't figure out what I want to do, ahhh!!!

Does anybody know why the clinicals are an hour longer each day if you do them on Friday & Saturday? It says they are from 6:30am-4:30pm rather than the 6:30am-3:30pm like the other choices on Tuesdays & Wednesdays.

I just checked my email and we got the email regarding the immunizations. It is 28 pages, and I am royally confused after reading it. Let me know if anybody else is ask confused as I am!

I just read the immunization packet and I'm really confused too. The form they want us to fill out makes it seem like everything is to be filled out by one person but I've had immunizations and tests done all over the place. I have records for all of them but it appears that this form needs to be signed directly. This looks like it's going to be a huge hassle.

I really hope there is still room in that Fri/Sat one when I register tomorrow. I really do not want to have to drive to Manteca or Tracy. This whole registration system is really skewed against people who live far away since we most likely would not have taken our prereqs at SJDC. I'm also not sure why I got the absolute latest registration time on Wednesday.
