I have been logging into my account on the Certifiedprofile website and my results for my urinalysis are there but my background check still has the "criminal records" section labeled as "in process". My order was placed on the 6th so I don't know why this is taking so long. And if it's sent to the school, does anybody know if dismissed possession charges would disqualify me? They were dismissed due to a diversion program. Since they weren't convictions I didn't state it on the application. Also, even though we can see the results on the Certifiedprofile website, are we supposed to get an email from the nursing program to tell us if we passed or didn't? I've been worrying about this for days.. Just one mistake when I was 18 could ruin my life. :crying2: :uhoh3:

Just to clarify,,,we have to take our first semester, Nurs001L & Nurs002L clinicals at the same hospital for the whole semester correct?? that's what our packet states. Other people are saying you can take them at two different hospitals?
Also what about getting on waiting lists at hospitals? can you register at another hops and be on a waiting list for another? not sure how that works...

The school redid some things in the program during the Fall 2011 cycle. In the first semester you go to the same hospital for the both ADN1&2 sections. It used to be that you can go to 2 different hospitals in your first semester.

However, in your second semester you can choose to take a different hospital as well as what order you want to take your classes. For example I can take peds before I take OB, where as my friend in the same semester as me can take the classes vice versa.

I recommend not going to a small hospital. I have classmates that did not get their own patient and feel they got ripped off on their clinical site. Imagine 4 people sharing one patient. One person sticks the patients finger for glucose test and the other three just watch. Not a very productive learning experience in my book.

Has anybody received the email regarding the e-tracker and how to upload our vaccines? It says it has to be done by the 18th and I have yet to receive an email telling us how to do it. I don't want to miss a deadline and get disqualified. Please let me know.

I talked to the nursing office staff. They should be sending us an email on instructions by this Friday. The staff has to get trained on it first and then they will tell us what we need to do....it doesn't have to be done by 11/18 just the background and drug screening...

Hey everybody, I'm new to this thread but I was accepted into the program and couldn't be more excited. I had a few questions. I tried to clck on the payment code for the ATI materials but it didn't work so I'm not sure what were supposed to purchase. Also, there wasn't a student handbook available in the docushare. Did anybody else have these problems? I live in Sacramento and am glad to hear many of you are as well. We need to set up a carpool! I can't wait to mee you all on the 29th

they said everyone will get one at orientation so don't worry about it...

if you miss orientation you must go to the nursing office and pick it up then. :nurse:

Thank You so much for the information. I just want to get as much of the checklist done ahead of time as I can so I don't feel rushed at the end.

I very happy to see that all of you got in!!! Congrats!! I on the other hand, have yet another mix up with my Nutrition class taken at another college, so I guess I'll be on the phone with them on Monday!! I'm so disappointed, I have wasted so much time!! Well once again congrats to all of you!!!

were you able to find out why they didn't take your nutrition class? didn't you have this problem before with Delta?

I'm so sorry....i hope they get it worked out,,,,if it was their mistake can you still get in this semester??

Anybody else from Sacramento that is looking to carpool? I know it would depend what hospital we each got into, but we could at least carpool on Thursdays for lecture.
