Hi everyone! I am planning to apply to Delta this March and wanted to start this board to connect with other applicants. Good luck!!

I want to know if we literally just print out the pages of our school catalog for course descriptions

yes, you do for the pre-req courses. You literally print out that page from the course catalog for the year that you took it. That is one of the most common mistakes. People provide the wrong catalog year. I will clarify if they want the cover pages as well like mjc does.

will do! if there is anything in particularly that you guys want clarification on me know so I can ask, if they don't cover it.

Thank you! Nothing much from me really. Their dates of response time are on their website so that's helpful.

Hi guys good luck with application period! I got in this Spring semester as an alternate, I had 66.5 points. and they literally called me three days before classes started! Have your documentation ready and make sure you print course descriptions from your school catalog from the year you took it. I just stapled each year cover page to the corresponding course description. I know last year when applications were done (Feb or March 2019) they accepted at least 20 from the alternate list. this past application (during fall 2019) they probably accepted around ten because I was #8. good luck I hope this helps ?

Thank you!! That does help ? how are you feeling about the program so far!?

Thanks so much for the information! That's awesome you got in and I hope it's going well so far!

Hi! Do you happen to know how the lottery works? Is there a point cutoff for lottery?

I'm applying too! Delta is my first choice for school. I have friends in the program who are graduating this semester as well as friends who graduated years ago. All have good things to say about the program.

Hi. what Herme13 said is correct. Have your docs ready. They did select 10 alternates from the listing last time. Be sure to thoroughly check your application. Do not over or underestimate hours worked/volunteered or you will be disqualified if the verification docs don't add up. Provide course description for all courses listed on the application. Good luck all hope we get one of the forty spots (36 based on merit ranking and the other four based on eligible lottery from the candidates who didn't make the top 36, but were qualified applicants!!)

Thanks for the info Nisha! Did they give any indication as to what the point cut off usually is around?

They were very vague and non-committal on that question with the rational that it varies from app term to app term. They said last term they had more apps than ever with over 450. So, in that regard each term is different. They did say that historically they have able to get at least midway through the alternates and in some terms have exhausted it. This is likely because by the time their app period closes and they reach final decision people have already committed to other programs either ADN or BSN.

Hey guys,

I’m considering applying to their program. Did anyone go to the orientation today (3/2)?

Do any of you know if they have a recency requirement for sciences?
I was a bad student many years ago but retook all of my sciences and got A’s. From what I can tell, I’ll loose points for repeats and they’ll take my C anatomy from 2002, not the A from 2 years ago. Do you guys know this to be true?

I sort of feel like I don’t have a leg to stand on if I apply even though I’ve done well in all of my recent coursework, received my AA/AS, am a CNA and scored an 88% on the TEAS. ?

I appreciate any feedback! ?
