SAN JOAQUIN DELTA COLLEGE FALL 2019 ADN

Published

Hey everyone I can't seem to find a forum for the Fall 2019 application for Delta so I thought I'd create one. I applied already. I like the way the new application is set up online. It was clearer to me this time around. I'm curious as to how many points everyone is applying with. ?

I’ll be commuting from Elk Grove. If a few of us can find a place to meet along the 99 and park our cars, we could carpool.

This is completely off topic, but I saw that someone got invited to submit documents and they had 68 points. So I’m assuming the cut off for points was in the mid to high 60’s.

That would be awesome! If I get in I will be driving on Grant Line and then 99. That should save us some gas.

The cut off was probably in the 60's but they invited 120 people to submit documents and they only accept 40. So, a lot of applicants with high points would have to decline to have people in the 60's get accepted.

@julwThey invited 126 people. And from past forums, the cutoff was around the same and people with points in the 60's did get accepted into the program. So, I personally think they still have a great chance. You also have to factor in the lottery and the fact that many people who applied to Delta also applied and were accepted into different programs.

@Lady2020 That would work great with my location! Grantline road runs pretty close to my house, I would say about a five minute drive max.

I live in Sacramento also. Not sure about commuting for 2 years, but it seems Delta has a better program than the other school I was accepted into.

Hey all! Applied with 80 points. Anxiously waiting for 5/21 to come! Good luck everyone!

I also received an email from the Evaluations Department a few weeks back stating they received my transcripts to evaluate my pre-reqs. I applied last spring and got disqualified because I messed up on the course descriptions. I did not receive an email last time from Eval Department so I'm hoping that getting an email this time around is a good sign. *crossing fingers*

Good luck!! ?? you have a really good chance with 80!

Waiting is so hard. Some days I feel pretty confident then some days I get really discouraged. I applied with 78.5.

Same! With only 40 spots available, it's hard to feel confident about getting in. But whether we get in or not, it's helpful to have a positive outlook. I was soooo discouraged about not getting in last spring, but instead, I was able to spend extra quality time with my newborn son, which I never would have been able to do had I been admitted.

11 more days! Though I’m still checking my email daily. I would feel so awful if I got d/q for some clerical error, that’s what I’m most worried about even though I double checked everything in my documentation. Kinda cold for them d/q for small stuff like a course description... but maybe they figure those tiny details could mean life or death when we’re out in the field.

Based on previous semesters- mid 70’s and up should be pretty safe but there’s so much riding on it that I know we can’t help but be anxious. Countdown is on!

I was so annoyed for being disqualified for my course description error last time (forgot to print a cover page with school and year). But I guess it makes the admission process easier for them to disqualify for oversight. And yes, paying attention to detail is ever so critical in the field, so I guess their decision to d/q me last time was fair. I guess lol

When do they notifiy of disqualifications?? Is it same day of results or before??
