Hey everyone I can't seem to find a forum for the Fall 2019 application for Delta so I thought I'd create one. I applied already. I like the way the new application is set up online. It was clearer to me this time around. I'm curious as to how many points everyone is applying with. ?
Ya'all I need Prayers!! I have been trying so hard to get into a Nursing Program ANYWHERE!!! I am almost 40 yrs old and have been taking classes since 2010 Finally done with ALL pre-reqs and can apply. I also got my CNA lic to help points because I got two B's
I feel like my chances are slim to NEVER! Well they very slim to say the least but I am not giving up - even applying at any and all other schools I can. I only have 55 points due to 2 B's and I got a 68% on my TEAS. I can take it once more since Delta allows three attempts so that may help. I am just praying to be a lucky one choosen in the 10% lottery at Delta. ? I didnt make it this last round but will try again in Sept. Is there anything I can do to increase points??? Does anyone know what the cut off on points were this time around?

Sorry to hear you didn’t make it in- the TEAS is a huge opportunity for you to make up some points. You only got 7 points for your 68%. That means there are 23 points left on the table if you were to score a 90 or higher. While you have a LONG way to go to jump from 68 to 90... it’s definitely possible, especially if you dedicate the entire 4-5 months until the next application period to studying for it. Then you’d be applying with a 78- much more competitive. You’re also allowed one retake of the bio pre-reqs before being penalized points-wise. That’s another opportunity to boost your score.
Good luck!

As other person mentioned you have to ace the TEAS. How hard did you study for your first attempt? 68% is very low. You would have to study a looooot to score high enough to make a difference on your application. Have you considered private schools? I didn’t get into any local schools in Sacramento so I am applying to private. I took the HESI which is like another version of TEAS only waaaay easier and scored 89% vs 83% on TEAS.. so you might be able to do that route. The HESI focuses more on English/Reading than anything else.

I was getting high 80's and even a 90 on the practice tests. I refuse to pay for private! But thanks for the heads up! I plan to study my a** off till Sept! lol
Wow that’s crazy! You got 80 and 90s but scored in the 60s? I scored 84 at home on practice exam TEAS that I paid for online, and scored 83 on actual.
Have you taken the actual practice exams by TEAS? I believe it was around $100 or so. But it was worth it because the test was exact same format just different questions.
