Hey everyone!

I've been going through some old threads for SJDC ADN program on all nurses. Looks like the emails can go out 1-2 weeks AFTER being accepted. Those emails will contain the ADN packets that hold additional information. Accordingly, the orientation for the last batch of students was a little over 2 weeks before the program started. Lastly, some people were offered the fast track position via email. I'm not sure if it'll apply to us fall applicants as I heard only Spring applicants get this privilege. Please be on the lookout in both private email inboxes and school email inboxes.

good luck!

Hi! Congratulations to those who got accepted. When you guys got the acceptance option to accept or decline did your guys options say "congratulations you have been conditionally accepted"? It said conditionally accepted but I'm not sure if that's just to select accept or decline.

Mine said that as well, but I'm thinking the conditions are if you pass drug/ background screening and submit required docs (immunization, covid , BLS etc)

Im currently in the 2nd semester of the nursing program. We received our packets exactly 2 weeks after the final notification date. Also, the fast track is only for the Spring applicants and we were invited by email. Let me know if you guys have any questions! I'll be happy to help out!! Congrats to those who got accepted!!

OMGGGG YASSSSS!! I wish I had your email or phone number I have an absurd amount of questions to ask. Dang it I was praying I get the fast track option ?

Hi, I've been going through some old thread in SJDC group, and someone who where enrolled in Delta's ADN program said that they offered a concurrent BSN program with GCU and she was also enrolled in that, tho, was 2 years ago. Does anyone here know if they still offer that??

They still do. GCU comes in often and speaks about their concurrent program. They offer 2 classes during the Summer and 1 class during the Winter break. CSUDH also offers fast track Summer BSN courses. This is how GCU looks.

Can you please shed more light on this? So is this like a bridge program to complete both to AS. In nursing and do classes on the side to complete bachelors? It takes the same amount of time as the RN program? What is CSUDH? How can I apply to their fast track Summer BSN program?

So you take nursing classes at Delta and during the Summer you can take BSN courses with GCU or CSUDH (California State University, Dominguez Hills). CSU Stanislaus also offers BSN courses to ADN students as well but they are a lot more pricier.

In order to apply to GCU (Grand Canyon University) there will be university representatives coming in and giving their information to apply so you don't need to worry about that right now. To apply to CSUDH, you just fill out the application online once the application period opens for you guys. These programs are not eligible for financial aid. GCU is $250 per credit and CSUDH is $270 per unit.

So yes its a concurrent enrollment so while you take your ADN courses, you also take BSN courses during the Summer to get some classes done. You won't be able to complete all of the BSN courses while getting your ADN though.

Hello. I'm currently unable to pm you, but if it's okay to ask, how does lab work for nursing students? I'm seeing some classes up on portal like NURSADN 1 that seem to have lab days for sim labs and hospitals between class times, and it seems like a lot. Are we supposed to attend the whole time there, or are we to complete a certain set of hours during these times the labs are open? I know emails have yet to be sent, but I feel so anxious looking at how these times are, especially as a student with no experience or knowledge on it. If you could enlighten me, I'd really appreciate it ?
