San Joaquin Delta College ADN Fall 2014

U.S.A. California

Published

Hi friends, my name is John. I'm new here and wanted to start a thread for those applying for the Fall 2014 admission at SJDC. I've read similar threads about past classes and found them interesting and informative.

I just finished up Physiology (still nervously waiting for my grade) and I'll be taking the TEAS at Modesto JC on 12/20. After that I'll be putting together my application!

I just noticed on Delta's ADN site that the TEAS will be offered at the Stockton campus the second week of January. Still no information on when the actual application period is going to be.

Anybody else want to share any thoughts, concerns, rumors, or advice?

Wow, I just checked and they already replied. Looks like if the supporting documentation is rejected, the whole application gets disqualified rather than just that section! Yikes. I've been working on a farm and I don't think they have "official organization letterhead" so I'm probably going to just skip the 2.5 points and take the safe route.

yes they are VERY particular about everything and disqualify you for a simple mistake ! I agree with you I think you should just skip that it's not worth all the stress of getting paper work and then being disqualified for it not being correct!

Wow, I did not know that, the pressure is on to make sure everything is accurate, thanks for the info.

Did they answer your question about first generation to attend college yet?

I haven't called or asked but I am going to call the PT program assistant at the office, she usually answers most of my questions I will let you know what she says.

Just in case that doesn't work out for you, try e-mailing [email protected] they were very prompt and helpful.

Thank you! I called and they told me it would be best to email them too, that way if I get disqualified for something I asked about I have proof and that I did everything they told me to !

I hope they reply soon the way they did for you

Any luck with a response in regards to the first generation supporting documentation? I sent an email too, but have not heard back. I know I'm first generation, but I just want to make sure I have the correct supporting documentation they need. I'm just worried that if I don't then they will disqualify my whole app:(

Specializes in Cardiac Telemetry.

I'm trying to transfer to a program near Modesto and trying to get in contact with Delta. I'm currently in an ADN program in the San Diego area and got disqualified from any type of loans and only have enough for the first semester. I'll by applying to get in the second-semester of Fall 2014 at Delta and a few other Modesto area colleges. I'm from Modesto and only the southern schools accepted me when I applied, figured its not a waste of time if I can transfer to a school near home where I can stay with parents and not have to work as much to pay for expenses.

hey I have been checking my email but have not gotten a response. As soon as I know I will let you know !

Just submitted my application! I decided to skip the extra 2.5 points... it's too scary to think that a technicality with supporting documentation could disqualify the whole thing. I don't think it would've made much of a difference on my application anyway. I hope everybody else is doing well. Good luck!
