San Joaquin Delta College ADN Fall 2014

U.S.A. California

Published

Hi friends, my name is John. I'm new here and wanted to start a thread for those applying for the Fall 2014 admission at SJDC. I've read similar threads about past classes and found them interesting and informative.

I just finished up Physiology (still nervously waiting for my grade) and I'll be taking the TEAS at Modesto JC on 12/20. After that I'll be putting together my application!

I just noticed on Delta's ADN site that the TEAS will be offered at the Stockton campus the second week of January. Still no information on when the actual application period is going to be.

Anybody else want to share any thoughts, concerns, rumors, or advice?

What were your points the first time?

I only had a 54 :/ I had to retake my English and take the five unit microbiology to bring my score up, I applied just for the heck of it even though I knew I had no chance ( maybe one of the lucky for that are lottery) lol

Thanks so much for the information:) I hope it goes well, if not I will just have to study hard for the TEAS test and retake it, but I'm crossing my fingers that doesn't happen, I just wish we didn't have to wait so long to find out.

You will get in you will see :) and you are welcome. The wait does suck but what I don't like is that sometimes they tell you that you will be notified by a given date and the day comes and they decide to make you wait longer ! so everyone goes crazy checking every ten minuets lol.. at this point I wouldn't care I just want to get in!

Hi, everybody I will be applying to the fall 2014 semester as well. Does anybody know what was the cut off score for the points last semester?

Thanks.

I am not sure what the cut off score was but the last alternate that I know off that got in had a 64 total I am not sure what alternate number she was I will ask to see if she was the last or if they called more :)

Hey guys, I'm starting the application right now. I'm nervous about the part where it needs supporting docs for work experience. I just moved here last summer and I'm not sure if I can get proof that I was working the WHOLE time I took prerequisite stuff. I'm nervous it might disqualify my whole application. If that's the case, I won't risk it for only 2.5 points. If it just means that section won't count then I might as well try for it. Any thoughts?

Good luck everybody!

Has anyone submitted their applications?? I started but did not submit it because I have a few questions !

I just started mine. So far it's pretty straightforward except for that work experience part.

Also, that PDF goes through the whole application step by step so you know what to expect ahead of time.

I saved my application for later and e-mailed the HS department about my question. Hopefully they reply quickly!

yes it is pretty straight forward, my question is about my degrees and also what kind of proof would I need for first generation of college and for the second language.. I don't want to get disqualified for something dumb lol I am proficient in Spanish but I haven't taken two years of college or high school so eeeh.. I'm going to ask first.

Good call. I keep hearing about how strict they are and how the slightest mistake can disqualify you, so I did the same thing. There's no way I want to risk my whole application for just a handful of extra points. I'm so impatient for them to reply... I just want to get this application out of the way haha!
